My WWittle Pony: Friendship is MMagic Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I all seriousness, it amuses me to introduce myself like a huge creep... but hi gang. I'm Jay, and I hail from a Mafia site somewhere on the other side of the galaxy known as The Syndicate. I follow champs every year and know supershorty from there, and I recognize some other names here from that whole world.

I might play the next game if time permits. I appreciate the kind energy here, and hope to take part at some point. It's not all that common to find the game of Mafia being played as competitively as it was in this particular match while it is also filled with good spirit, camaraderie, and friendship [is magic]. Perhaps that's a dulled impression; I couldn't say -- but it's my impression nonetheless. Pat yourselves on the back.

I fully agree with this. The level of playing and WIM was incredible, the only thing that surpassed it was the good vibes.
God Bless Pony Salvaje

Also hi Jay! Now I feel shy that you specced the game and my Skill Issue

Oh, I thought you were Michael Jackson.
Does Jay have sick dance moves we should know about?

Should I be dreaming of a Santy/Jay duo singing and dancing to Pony Salvaje?

You may declare a skill issue to your heart's content, ChristmasWeed, but rest assured: I know better. Take pride in your will to play hard and to make the thread environment a positive one. Winning sure is nice, but it's a wasted pleasure in a thread filled with misery. I respect you.

Yay Jay! Hope to get the chance to play with you on here soon :cat:

Also, there was a tot chat somewhere too?
And if its okay I would like to see wolfchat if Wolves are okay with it. Always fun to see what the schemes were

I just want to note that Santy cares reacted this while Jay initially inappropriated it, so I suspect this will remain just a dream for a while yet 😢

I would be fine with this, but not sure if that would be mod-sanctioned. I don't think I've ever seen a request to see wolfchat before.
Also you'll be sorely disappointed if you're looking for schemes. Once Cray died I just did whatever to see what felt right.

Other places more frequently let people into wolf chat it seems! It's happened sporadically by individual request here.

Champs makes the wolf chats publicly available after the game ends, it's been fun to read them.

Oh, didnt know that! In my community/MU its like, unless the wolves dont want it its usually shared. And its like, totally understandable if someone doesnt want to share it cuz there you maybe talk about stuff taking into consideration that its private.
Now I know for the next time regardless and sorry!

Oh I have no problem with it! Just don't want to make that decision since it's more a mod decision imo.
Mostly I'm just talking about trying to set you up for a misyeet, so... :sorry:

Oomph, usually we haven't shared the contents of wolf chat.... it's like, sacred, man. Some people really are funny about having their wolfy thought process seen from the outside by people they haven't wolfed with or didn't mod. Like, it gives people insight into your wolf meta you might not get just from thread. Which like, can't be helped with mods and packmates but does limit the inside scoop to a much smaller number of people. I've played here for years and many people I've never wolfed with, so I've never seen behind that curtain and they've never seen behind mine.

Also I tend to talk some shyte about vent with the idea that it stays between me and my packmates and the mods, who I hope understand. And the comments are often made with the idea that it never goes any further, because that's usually how we've done it.

It's up to the mods, but I think we've also given wolves privacy rights over convos.

The reason is that I believe, or it used to be, part of SDN TOS that PM contents are supposed to be kept private unless the people within them consent to sharing, so not sure a mod would overrule a convo participant that way.

And this is one of those things on the site, that I've seen it done once and then it becomes the new norm and I end up regretting it.

So I don't know. Usually I see there be a q&a with the wolves on thread, or like, wolves will cut and paste things they want to share from pack chat.

Dead chat and spec chat usually haven't been treated as private, I'm guessing owing to the fact they end up being larger groups of players of mixed Aff (or none for spec/tots) and are less, I dunno, private strat about how you plan to deceive people?

Yeah they're not kept quite as private but we do tend to keep them separate, like tots don't usually get to see dead chat and players don't usually get to see tot chat.

But yeah I'd agree it's not so much just up to the mods as you guys as well since it's not something we usually do 🙂

Yeah I fully agree that the wolves should always be the one deciding if they want to share it or not, after all it was their private space and its totally alright if they want to keep it that way

We actually did an anonymous Rocky Horror game at one point! (I don't know if this was brought up already I only skimmed).

It was interesting.
Yeah I was wolfing and got dead real fast

Even further back (might have been before your time?) jdh ran a lounge game on a different site that was also anonymous.

I also wolfed in that one and got dead

Oh but yeah, if anyone has any strat questions about wolf choices, I think going by PSV's response above, we're happy to explain why we did what we did.

I gotta be honest too, PSV made a lot of choices, like for kills and votes, that I had the opposite take on. I was like "No, don't kill Zenge!" In my dead head, but then the WIFOM....

Very proud to call PSV partner and a very dedicated player. I honestly don't know how she did it, I honestly find her play wolfy at the best of times, and so a game where I knew she was wolf AND the strat was to sus her?

Luckily no one listens to Cray 😅

But yeah she carried the game and I think even with us having different strat takes at times about targets, I'm glad she drove that side of things, and I think where we meshed well was on creating chaos and laying down WIFOM.

Where is the reveal or guesses?

Wait, I don't want to know, lol. Or maybe I just want to know who played but not their pseudonyms. Or I just want to know if I do read and invest, that at the end of the day a few will be known at least, lol
I'm actually not sure. Maybe in the sign up thread or something on here, would have to hunt it down.
