The team moved fast, Luther leading the way. Finally, after so much time pouring over the data, he was sure he knew where Gabriel had been hiding. Together with Brandt and an IMF technician, they tracked him, uncovering the support network created by The Entity that had allowed him to exist like a ghost.
They cornered him on a bridge.
Fitting, really - the last remnant of the Syndicate caught between two sides of a world they had tried to burn. Gabriel moved like he always did: silent, efficient, half a step ahead. But this time, the IMF team was faster.
The takedown was surgical - coordinated strikes, blocked exits, no escape. He fought hard. But when the last blow landed, it wasn’t with a shout - it was with a fall.
Over the edge.
Into the black.
When they recovered the body, his eyes were open, and empty. On him, no device. No orders. Only a pocketwatch, stopped at the exact time Ethan Hunt died.
