No offense, but that is BS. We have to lynch someone no matter what so saying that not having info is a fair excuse to not vote is crap. Yeah, it sucks to not know who to vote for but man up and cast a vote. It's not like you are voting to kill someone IRL.

Disagreeing with me? How could you? 😛

I have found that voting early to lynch the wrong person often gets used as evidence of wolfdom, so although I have not skipped any votes in this game, I have often done that in the past if I had an important role, or I was a wolf (pretty much tells you what I think of my role in this game).

So I do NOT thnk that is BS..... many people do not vote if they have no reason to suspect someone. It is strategy. I don't like it as a mod, but it is a fact of life. The only way to avoid it is to mod kill non-voters forcing everyone to vote (which is a fair mechanism if mods so desire)...

I ended up going out for some Wednesday night shenanigans unexpectedly so I didn't get a chance to vote. Usually the time difference would have given me a chance to vote but stayed out later than expected too🙄

Is there a night deadline?

It is BS. If we all followed your thinking, none of us would vote. Lissa is right: We have to pick somebody, so vote.

And, I'm a little surprised. You've always been in favor of any number of strategies in the past, like voting for the quiet players. Now all of the sudden you're pulling this wishy-washy "I don't know who to vote for" stuff? Seems .. out of character.

And yeah, I can see someone not voting for good game reasons. Maybe even a few someones. But 12 out of 19 players? That's not intentionally not voting for game reasons - that's just plain not bothering to play.
 
Can't we just all vote. Yeah maybe we don't have solid info for the first few cycles but having ANY input at all (solid or not) is better than nothing. It is a game after all. Might as well somewhat contribute and throw a vote out there even if its just RNGd. We also have plenty of time to check in since this is a very slow-paced game. Peace & love y'all.
 
Um I guess I forgot to set a deadline last night, so I'm doing it now. Sue me.

Please get your night PMs in by 8 pm PST tonight. I have a derm exam tomorrow and I don't know anything about derm so I have to study a lot.

And I'm sorry that this has ended up being so slow-paced that people have lost interest or something - this quarter started out hard and fast with simulated client lab and surgery lab and exams and I'm president of a club running a huge CE symposium next weekend and blah blah excuses I know but I'm trying. v😳v

I can't speak for anyone else, but I've also been super busy (generally 7am - 6pm CST... lately more like 7 or 8pm) and only have my phone on me during the day. The issues I had with the app seem to be resolved so that hopefully won't be a problem anymore :xf:
 
I personally haven't been that active because all of the lynches happen while I'm still on clinics. I suppose I should start sending in contingency votes. I haven't been doing that because I hate blindly guessing, but that's better than not voting, IMO.

I haven't seen one, but there has to be an investigative item out there. Hopefully it will turn up some info after this night cycle. I'm in for the evening, so I'll be around to vote after night results.

Voting to lynch quiet players is not the same as criticizing non voting players. I am rarely quiet but I do skip votes so perhaps I am just self serving.

Sadly this discussion of game aesthetics is hardly adding any value to smoking out wolves...

Having said all this, I would still support a mandatory voting rule in future games (or as ES proposes a 2 in a row and you are out rule....or a . 3 strike rule etc).

With the cheat code, you can choose whether to protect, block or investigate.

Well. First off, you need to realize that I'm not criticizing any individual players. We *all* have great reasons that sometimes we miss a day or two here or there or whatever. It's not like we don't have busy lives.

But when 12/19 people don't participate ... yeah. I'm going to gripe that people aren't bothering to play. With turns this long? C'mon.

But I agree - bickering about it isn't smoking out any wolves. Not that I've been having much luck at that, other than being the first person to vote for Goatmeister. But that was totally random, so... no credit.

I have a feeling I won't need to worry about it soon anyway, now that Lissa and I are bounced down here to the Death Zone I might get to go join the more-vocal dead crowd. 🙂

i'm pretty surprised that I am apparently the only one who has used to cheat code as an investigative item… unless others are hiding their results.. which makes sense if all they did is clear a player.
other than that, the wolves could have it and be using it as a protective item for themselves.
that would suck though 😡
 
I cleared someone but don't want to give away who unless absolutely necessary.
 
It was a long night, in many ways. Nobody can sleep very well, but strangely most of our players were still pretty silent. There was a little bit of hijinx involving Mr. Saturn, a whip and LIS - LIS got whipped around real good, but didn't really get to go anywhere.

But you know who wasn't just sitting around in fear? Our intrepid villains, that's who.

Pit was just flying around, only recently having recovered from his latest escapade in protection. His blue and white arrows were put away and he had little time to think before he was blindsided out of midair by a huge sword, knocked to the ground and beheaded. That's right, christiansenle, otherwise known as Pit, from Kid Icarus, was struck down.

But wait, there's more to tell! With the death of the Duck Hunt dog, the zapper has gained some power. And tonight, the zapper fired true and lethal. This target also happened to be skyborne. Everyone's favorite little pink puffball Kirby doesn't look much like a duck, but DVMDream, his player, got shot down by that orange and grey monstrosity and killed.

You can say someone's good without outing their role. It's not always a bad thing to do, especially if you don't know when you're going to die. I'm not saying you need to tell us, but it's one less person that we have to choose from when guessing.

Also 😱 and 🙁 about losing two last night.

No idea who to lynch, but seeing as everyone's upset about so many people missing the last one jjohnston. I should be able too get back on and change my vote if someone comes out with good information. Husband ended up with the day off because of the ice and snow we supposedly got last night. Not much out there, but everything closes when there's a chance of snow. Everything except NC State that is.

It doesn't say what it does, so I threw it at Nohika (random choice).

Was told it bonked off her head and sauntered away.

I doubt I used it correctly.

Wondering if it helped or hurt Nohika (or did nothing).

That is the only item I have received so far.

In super smash bros Mr. Saturn is pretty worthless, all you can do is throw it at people and it doesn't really hurt them. Don't know if that is similar to its action in this game or not, could just be a useless item.

Gonna have to go with lynch kakaru at the moment. If any new info comes out more than happy to change it but going out soonish so will not be able to check the thread after that.
