Anyone here get an acceptance to an NC school and can tell me what the deposit cost? Thanks in advance!

Not what I mean. Go to the PTCAS website. Go to the directory by state. You can look at each school's profile in NC. Go to towards the bottom of their page, and it has the amount the school requires for a deposit.
 
Currently on waitlist for an interview at Elon, is anyone not accepting their interview offer?

I am also out of state and got offered an interview for January 16th at the beginning of December. Then I know their next interview date is in February.

I'm surprised you haven't heard anything. When did you submit your application/when was it verified?

Just sent my deposit for Elon. Playing the waiting game for another NC school. Anyone anticipating accepting an offer from Elon?
 
Has anyone received an email about the February interview for Duke?

I hope so as well. I sent an email a few weeks ago regarding my application status. They told me "my application has been considered, however, no decision has been made." I don't know if that is a good response, or if that is a normal message they send to get students like me to hush lol.

I've received the same email in response to my inquiry. I hope we hear something soon!

Yes. I also called and apparently the February interview date is cancelled and they will hold interviews sometime in March. They have already filled around 50 spots.

I got an email saying my application is still being considered. Does that mean I have a chance at the March interview date? Or did you get a specific invitation?

I received the same thing. I sent an email earlier today with some specific questions about the email they sent me. When they respond I will let you guys know!

I called after I received the email (probably the same one that you did). I asked when their next interview date would be. The person I talked to said that they cancelled February's date and the next interview will be in March some time. I also asked how many students they had already accepted - answer was 50 out of a 75 maximum. If you got an email saying that your application is still being considered, I assume it means just that. Maybe they sent those emails because the February interview date was cancelled??... "Hurry up and wait" seems to be the answer until...

That may be the case. I assume we will get another email around this time in March with interview decisions (the suspense is killing me). Maybe we will all get an invite!

I got the email but are you guys just gonna wait and sit around for duke all the way until March ??? That's like a few months before school starts!

I believe so :/ I am an Alabama native. So I applied to one in-state school (Alabama State University), East Tennessee State, and Duke. If I get accepted to Duke I will go there. So I will pretty much be in a rush to get things organized before school starts.

Freaking out a little. Did anyone else get a second email this morning from Duke saying the same thing (that we're still being considered)?

Haha I just looked at the email, and I think they resent it to correct a typo from the yesterday's email. They are stressing me out. I saw another post that someone said they received a rejection email. So maybe that will open up another spot (hopefully).

Good luck to you all! These are the schools I plan on applying to in the near future, as I'm an NC resident. I may be contacting a few of you in the future to ask about the programs. 🙂 Be sure to update when you make a commitment to a school!

I think it is typically a 2-week review process. I believe I also recall hearing that there were two students who could not interview on the February 6th date, so I'm not sure what effect that has on the turn around time. My guess is it will be this coming week. What did you think about the interview?

I appreciate your reply, but it has already been two weeks. If there were students who could not attend the interview, I feel like the admissions office should have conveyed decisions would be delayed.

I was at the UNC interview as well. The only communication I've gotten since was an email from them asking for my financial aid info as they like to send scholarships along with acceptances. Did you get that as well? I'm not sure whether they sent it out to all interviewees or not.

Yep, everyone received that email. I wonder if anyone tried calling on Friday or Saturday to find out about decision emails.

I think the "2-weeks" is more of a ball-park rather than a firm timeline. I wouldn't expect an email or being able to talk to anyone in admissions over a weekend. The first year students that I asked at the interview said they thought they found out about 18 days later. When I called to check on application status back in December there was a recording that stated that they don't take one on one phone calls. I don't know if that is still the case since the interviews have been conducted, but I would assume email is the preferred communication method. Good luck.
 
Fellow UNC hopefuls,
I just called the admissions office and the man I spoke to said they are meeting Thursday to make decisions and emails will be sent out Friday afternoon or Monday morning. Hope this helps!
 
Here is an update for my Duke folks. I just called the admissions office, and they are still unsure on what day they are gonna hold interviews. But she did tell me they were expecting the interview to be around March 12th. Also, she said if they didn't hold an interview on a Saturday they would conduct Skype interviews. So I am assuming we should know something by next week, or the following week.

Thanks for the info! Did she say about how many spots were left? Or, if our application has lasted this long, we have a good chance of getting an interview?
