Hmmmm this is really odd. I just don't know how my file could have just become complete on the 14th, and yet a decision was made on that same day?? This whole situation with this admissions office is just strange. At least Sarah was helpful though. I guess I will be hearing something soon though, as she said a decision was made and the dean just has to sign off on it. Hope it's good news.

Can you PM me Sarah's phone number or email please? Every time I called the admission office, different mailboxes were answered. And although I did leave a message every time, no one has bothered to call me back. Thank you.

So I just spoke with Sarah and she said my file just became complete on the 14th...??? I sent in everything the first week of October. However, I re-mailed my signature page because my online status did not indicate that it had been received. Perhaps this is why it "just" became complete? This is very disappointing, as now my file is a month and a half behind what it should be.

Two weeks passed for me with no luck in reaching Sarah, but others on this thread had better luck. I just don't have time to call 25 times daily. I don't recommend leaving a message, just keep calling until she answers.

Try calling around 12 noon (eastern time) it worked for me.

It is a luck thing. I called both numbers but it still took 3-4 days and multiple emails to find something out from them. It SHOULDN'T make much of a difference which number you call, unless the local number is to the bat phone and the other one is to some phone in a closet somewhere.

I'd have to say that's a waitlist. LECOM-B calls their waitlist the "alternate list," and when something says "hold" it usually means they want to hold onto your file for later viewing, after they've viewed others' files. Based on these two things, I'm likely to think it means you're on the waitlist. If they wanted your grades this semester, to make sure you didn't end up flunking out, it would probably say "provisional acceptance." However, although you are probably on the waitlist, if you do very well this semester, it will definitely bulk up your application. So definitely study hard for finals!

Sounds a lot like a waitlist. The good part about NOVA though is that its rolling admissions, so if you do well this semester, the next time they review your file you'll have a good chance of moving off the alternate list.

I already interviewed a while ago- but I graduated already and my status page still said "provisionally accepted." Apparently it is provisional until the deposit is paid

It's not going to happen that fast. First a decision is made then the dean signs off on it. Afterwards it is updated in the status section. The trend appears to be that this changes the second Monday or Tuesday after your interview. If you are lucky you might see something change next week. Who knows? Maybe with the holidays coming up things might get done a bit faster.

I forgot all my ONLINE sign in stuff so I called today. I was bummed after being waitlisted at Buffalo so I was hoping for a pick-me-up. This def. did the trick considering NOVA is higher on my list than UB! I interviewed 10/24 if that helps you at all. They said they sent my acceptance letter via the US postal service earlier this week.

I called Ellen about it saying that I needed to "Contact the Admissions Staff" and about the Osteopathic Signature page and she said that she knew mine was going to committee this past Wednesday. I am really hoping we know today! Anyone been accepted from the Cincinnati/Ohio area?

Dear NSU,

Your admissions office is simply awful. You offer me an interview yet will not answer phones, voicemails, or emails. Except for the one day when someone picked up the phone and then immediately hung up on me. I figured it was a mistake so tried to call back and then was hung up on me AGAIN! You are BY FAR the worst admissions department I have ever heard of. It is only a mystery how many well qualified applicants would have loved to go to your school but gave up on your poor communication and organizational skills. Shame on you Nova.

I have the same issue; my interview was on 11/18 as well. I cannot wait till Monday to call Ellen.

I wonder about this too. I emailed on Wednesday because I signed into webstar for the first time and it said that I didn't have the osteopathic signature page. She emailed me back and said they had my page and that my file "should go to COA today" (today being Wednesday). I just wish she hadn't mentioned Friday as the day because I am really anxious to hear. So will it change on webstar then we will get a letter from them via mail? I don't think you should take it as bad certainly. I think their system is just a little strange. I wonder if I met any of the people posting here who interiewed on 11/18.
