I'm pretty sure this has already been answered in this thread, but here we go, starting from the page titled 'COM Applicant Information' click NSU-COM Application' then click 'Admissions' login with your username/password then there is a section titled 'Processed Applications' I have two things listed both titled 'Fall 2009', if i click on the 2nd one it brings me to a page with some info, one of the fields on that page is 'Decision:'

Thanks, now that I made a decision to go for an interview, I am getting paranoid.
heh. No worries. I don't think I've encountered one medical school so far where the biggest problem was partying. You're generally floating in your own little purgatory for the time there, so actively seeking out parties on a Thursday night usually won't happen. Also, just by the nature of how the area is laid out, it is a little less likely. If you choose to live in a place where not many grad students live then you may get the fun of having super obnoxious neighbors, but that is everywhere.
Ya, interviewed 10/24, status changed on website on 11/10, received my packet today 11/15 vis usps certified mail. The mail stamp says they mailed it out 11/13. I live in FL just for mail time reference.
for those of you who interviewed, how was the location area, people??? location is quickly becoming the runaway top priority for me. Ive turned down interviews at some great schools because of location. Just completed my nova secondary last week
ahh, thanks for the info. im from cali. now living in rural new england, which is killing me! just hoping to get back to a place where the sun shines, people are beautifully diverse with a radio station that at least plays hip hop and RnB. You kinda get it.I have no idea what you're looking for: different people like different stuff. Do you know anything at all about Florida? If you want to give some info on where you've lived, and what you like or don't like, then we might be able to give you relevant info.
In general, Nova is in Davie, which (around Nova) is a densely packed suburban-metro retail/residential corridor. Tons of chain stores, condos, apartments, and malls. Four lanes of heavy traffic in either direction on the main road. It's slightly-inland Florida, so it's hot, it's humid, it rains, it's impacted by hurricanes, and there are lots of bugs. The school campus is big and new and rather impressive, although the health sciences building looks to me like a cross between a casino and a beauty salon.
5 miles west of Davie is Weston, which is all brand new, all gated, all planned. 10 miles east of Davie are Ft. Lauderdale and Hollywood, both of which have legitimate beach communities with pockets of funkiness. 20 miles south is Miami. There's nothing in the world like Miami.
I called Linda Ferris and she told me she would check my GPA and MCAT scores and possibly speed the process up.

I got the interview invite email 3 times in two days. I then emailed Sarah to ask if a few dates were available. She never responded, so I sent another 2 emails. No response. I have since left her 3 messages and called all of the other numbers. When I do get somebody on the phone, they just keep transferring me to other departments. This school's admissions dept is a joke.
What's the best cheap public transportation between Ft Lauderdale and Miami? How far apart are they?
I also got several emails on different days from Sarah
But I called and the first time she picked up on the second ring (twice actually)
And all they had left was the 12th or 19th of December for fridays. I posted a Question about hearing back before the new year...anyone know if you have these dates if it is mid January before you can know?

Just keep calling. I basically kept trying again and again and Sarah did pick up the phone.
On my webstar under "decision" it says "please contact admissions office." I'd like to know if they're missing something or if they want to schedule an interview but I cannot get in touch with them!!!! So you kept calling again and again in the same day?? Or do you just mean you tried calling like once or twice a day? This is driving me out of my mind. I have three numbers for their office and no one picks up any of the lines.
FINALLY got the acceptance packet in the mail!!! 🙂
I'm sorry everyone is having problems with the admissions office! I only called once and got right through... but I usually just e-mail Sarah Baksh (sp?) and she gets back to me the same day or the next- if you can't get through by phone, maybe try that

Do they send rejections in the mail too?

I called multiple times today and finally reached Sarah to schedule an interview and scheduled it for next week.
Would it be wise to call again and confirm? Or should I trust that Sarah put me into the system for next week? This thread is making me paranoid.
I have seen varying lengths of time from those posting on this forum (even though I kept in the background)
For me the time line was as follows
AACOMAS release 10/22
Nova secondary invite 10/27 (submitted 11/4)
Interview invite 11/12

I interviewed a week ago. The website says, "Please contact admissions" next to decision but I'm wondering if this really means anything? I have 3 interviews in December, all of which I would like not to go to if I'm accepted by Nova. Any chance they might tell me of my decision over the phone if I called (I know LECOM-B was willing to for the reason of saving applicants money) or should I just wait it out?
Now I'm worried. I have it finished on Oct 17. I haven't seen anyone waiting that long for interview invite from NSU on SDN. Does NSU give out rejection in writing? Or does it have silent rejection? Thanks
Just tried Sarah again. Her mailbox is full!!
So I just spoke with Sarah and she said my file just became complete on the 14th...??? I sent in everything the first week of October. However, I re-mailed my signature page because my online status did not indicate that it had been received. Perhaps this is why it "just" became complete? This is very disappointing, as now my file is a month and a half behind what it should be.
