I think most of us who have been accepted should have been august 27t interview. I know my interview was august 27th.

"Provisional" Acceptance!!! Checked WebStar today, hoping to get something official in the mail soon. I interviewed Sept. 3rd.

Made up for my interview at LECOM-Bradenton today, which I thought could have went better. But, PBl is awesome. I can see why their COMLEX pass rate and scores are so high now.

Congrats to all those accepted! I have my interview coming up and had a question. It seems like most people stayed at the Comfort Suites, which is where I will be as well. I looked on Google maps for restaurants and stuff, but it didn't seem like much was around. What did you guys do for dinner? Did you rent a car or get a cab? I'm wondering if i should change my hotel. . . I'd love to hear about others travel/logistical experiences. (And about the interview, too, of course! 🙂)

I stayed there and I recall a few places are actually within walking distance. Didnt rent a car because of the shuttle, but I also was REALLY tired when i got there and ended up just ordering food to my room. A lot fo the places delivered.

I interviewed at LECOM-Bradenton as well and was accepted and now I am at Nova. The interview was weird for me there too. They were very not positive and they kinda seemed annoyed to be interviewing or something. I think PBL is cool too but I am happy that I chose Nova and the lecture style learning. Let me know if you have any questions about this....I was also accepted to Touro-NY, LECOM-Erie, LMU-DCOM, and RVU-COM.

You have to make your own, it wasnt assigned. At least not for me. So if you forget you have to call the NSU Helpdesk number listed on WebStar. Happened to me once.

ha I think we have all received strange things from NOVA, I received financial aid information after I scheduled my interview.

I received financial aid information without even having filled out my secondary application. They sent it like a week after they sent the secondary back in July.

You answered your own question. If they ask "Do you have any questions?" and you say, "No, they were all answered by the website." You will appear uninterested. Go google interview etiquette. GOOGLE. IS. YOUR. FRIEND.

ask questions, about two is good, surely you can come up with something to ask about the school anything...such as community outreach, etc

Interviewed 9/2 and accepted. Have started to cancel / withdraw at other schools, feels weird to turn them down after working so hard to get an interview. Good luck Geronimo 😉

100%. you need to pass the exams to graduate.

However, I recall hearing 75-85% pass the first time around?

When talking to all the kids their, they all help each other study and I got a great feeling about everyone getting through it together.

Since the county has one of the highest numbers of HIV rates in the country I asked them about that and both of the interviewers expanded on their opinions about that which led to more questions. Something about general health in the area is good bc that is more for them than the students can answer. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

When talking to all the kids their, they all help each other study and I got a great feeling about everyone getting through it together.

First time pass rate is ~6-17 point below the national average?? I dont think so!! Nova's first-time pass rate is around 95%, got this from a current student. If there pass rates were as low as you say, I think there would be some SERIOUS problems witht that school.

Hi, so i interviewed 9/4 found out i got accepted yesterday online. I applied to the dual prog. but it seems like the med shcool doesn't really know how things work for it, which is kind of frustrating. But from what i gathered htey will review our file again after being accepted and then do a teleconference interview for hte DMD prog. I'm still unsure but Februrary is too long to wait for me....we'll see....

Yeah, that's pretty mcuh any school. Also, some schools like Midwestern can say their board scores speak for themselves, but look at Nova. Those match lists, which are extremely IM & ER heavy, didnt just happen. Most schools will give you the tools to succeed, whether you do or not is up to you.

this is a forum intended for students to help one another, no reason to attack anyone. I was trying to be helpful and merely didnt recall what I was told in my interview.

yea it took my letter three days to get to Maryland. I think it says, they send out the letter on the day make the decision.

Uggh Nova was the first osteopathic secondary I turned in and I am still waiting for a possible invite...😱 ahhh the suspense! Anyone else have a really long turn around? This may just be normal for the school but I am not sure..

I feel ya KG, I have been complete at LECOM-B and NOVA since the beginning - middle of August. Still hopeful for an interview. I feel like I am probably a low numbers applicant with both those schools, but I try and send positive vibes their way everyday.

I'm just thankful I have other interviews to pass the time and get to visit wonderful schools in the mean time. I think I am in the acceptance phase of the "hurry up and wait" process. Each day that I go without any correspondence from schools doesn't affect me as much as it did a month ago. Good luck!

Thanks for the insight! It can be rough to wait, but like yourself I am happy that in the meantime I have other interviews. I just wish I would find something out either way since I am from NY, and would like to only go to Florida once- I have an interview at LECOM-Bradenton next month. I guess what happens will happen- best of luck to you!😳
