Anybody interviewing this month? When did you get an interview invite and when did you submit your secondary? I received my secondary 2 weeks ago and was curious to know if that means they want to interview me, as it feels a bit late to receive it now.

did you hear anything today I am just confused why they decided to reach out to some people but not others? I don't want to email them as they might already be under so much workload ;/
I may be completely wrong, but perhaps acceptees were contacted while the rest of us are either waitlisted or rejected. May 16th marks 4 weeks from 04/18. Perhaps we will here back from them on Friday. We should hear back from them by May 30th.

IMO (and I hope i am wrong), we wont hear back from them until June, from the way people have been waiting 2 months+ for a decision.

thats true or they could just be super busy tbh its that time of the year

My status changed from "Complete" to "In Review" a couple days ago even though I was waitlisted a month ago... Not sure what that means but at least it's moving in the right direction...

How cooked am I. Feb interview. March waitlist. Sent my Letter of intent last month.

Interview invite! First med school interview so I am really happy!!! I’m so grateful for this opportunity and would really appreciate any advice or tips from those who have interviewed here before. I understand the format includes two 20-minute one-one-one interviews, one more traditional and the other more focused on ethical scenarios? It's also closed file I believe. Also what is the post interview acceptance rate?

post ii A unavailable, but prolly high. Very conversational. Congrats! How many schools did you apply to?

For those who were accepted, do you know when we have to do the background check and screenings by?

Its probably before matriculation, so before classes starts on july 28th.
Valid, I wasn't sure of they had a separate hard deadline but it wouldn't make sense since they're still not done accepting students. Any time before matriculation makes more sense. Congratulations on the A btw!

Just saw this post on Reddit:
Sounds concerning. Can anyone attest

People are pissed with how the school has been run and it’s gross how you have some members of class of 2028 in here ignoring real problems because they’re doing well (so far). In a year’s time, if nothing changes, they’ll be writing the same kind of post. What’s trash is that the faculty is actually decent, but the administration bent on extracting money from the students. In the second year class, you have multiple students who have got over 400 multiple times being told to repeat. They even dismissed a student who was averaging a 500 (but they’ll be back). They know they’ll have multiple students who will be ready for boards (they’re ready now) next year to pump their rookie numbers up and they’ll get an extra year of that sweet, juicy tuition money.

And the school got visited by COCA during spring break to tell the school to ease up on dismissals because of the passing of a student in class of 2028. Kind of gross how that was ignored in this thread but “f u, I got mine” amirite? Dr. Fitzpatrick would be ashamed.

I don’t know why some people are brownnosing and being holier than thou. If you’re actually from kansascom and defending this school you should genuinely be ashamed of yourself. This school has ruined peoples lives and lost a students life, and faculty. A lot of OG faculty already left from the insanity. People should be running as far and far as they possibly can. Its far more nuanced than just “poor student performance leading to dismissal.”
