i interviewed on sept 10, and my webstar status hasn't budged. Anyone else still waiting for a decision? I really don't know if I want to call them, I feel like it'd be too pushy since they told us one month..and hasnt quite been that long yet...

you may want to call... seems like by now your status should have been changed. i interviewed in the beginning of sept and my status wasn't updated until the 18th, but my acceptance letter was dated sept 10. no offense, but it's not looking good for you...
yes, i interviewed the 15th and my status has not changed from "invited to interview". still waiting, going to give it to the end of the week and perhaps give them a call.

To all who are freaking out, I was you until yesterday. I interviewed on the 10th and could not take it any more, watching all those after me get provisional acceptances. I called the person responsible for my last name and asked for a status update. She said we should hear within 2 weeks of our interview, so I told her the day I interviewed. She looked through her stack, confirmed my address and told me I had been accepted. But my WEBSTAR status STILL says:

So........don't fret, you're probably fine, just call.

This was probably answered already, but if we have a committee letter, do we still need to provide a letter from a liberal arts professor if there isn't one in the committee packet? I got an interview invite yesterday and just want to make sure I have everything complete before I head down there. I'm so excited 🙂

I also got an interview invite yesterday and scheduled it for November 17th. They said it was the earliest date available.
I know that the interview day is supposed to end around 2 pm, with another optional tour afterwards, but when does it begin?
First interview invite! I'm really excited. I sent in my secondary Saturday and got the invite yesterday. Seems like they have a really fast turnaround.

The day begins at 9am, but you have to be in the admissions office by 845am. It was a very relaxed day and everyone was very friendly. Hopefully your group will get to talk to the dean, Dr. Silvagni. Pretty nice guy.
Also, this has been said before but it can't be stressed enough. Staying at the Comfort Suites is probably the best bet. No need to rent a car, shuttle to-from airport and Nova campus at no extra charge. Hotel will hold your luggage during interview and give you a place to change before you go to the airport even though you've already checked out.
Very convenient!!

Awesome! I have the comfort suites booked for my interview in the beginning of October. That's so convenient that they hold luggage and give you a place to change afterwards. 👍 Def looking forward to this one

Which Comfort Suites did you stay in? Is it the one ~1.5 miles from the campus.
Parking spots in the garage is becoming hard to find around that time. Give it a few minutes extra.

Curious; about how quick are they turning around interviews after the files are complete these days? I saw on interview invites it was really fast in August, but no data on late September/October.
I'm interviewing at LECOM-B on November 6th... so if I happen to get an interview at Nova I pray that it's around that time. My budget is really tight. 🙁 I just sent in all my stuff today, so they should get it next week if all goes well.

Hopefully it will be quicker for you than it has been for me. Nova was the first I turned in on 9/8..have been at "decision pending" for about 2.5/3 weeks now. I have since gotten 4 invites from other schools where I turned in my secondaries much later🙁. I interview at LECOM-B on Oct 23rd so I was hoping I could do it all in one trip.... Good luck on your LECOM-B interview and update us on how quick you hear anything from Nova!😀

I got my offer yesterday, 10/1, and the earliest available date was 11/17 when I called. I'm not sure how long the normal turn around is - I'm not yet complete. All I have submitted so far was the online secondary on 9/20.

Based on your MDapps and comments from other people...I'm guessing that people under a certain MCAT score aren't being interviewed yet. More waiting for the rest of us I guess! Congrats on the invite!🙂

If anyone has been waiting a while to hear back after their interview, perhaps knowing this will help you freak out less than i did (haha):
i interviewed 9/10 and didn't receive my acceptance letter until 10/2. My webstar status still says 'invited for interview...' i also had called admissions to ask them about my status (per SDNer advice), and the woman told me they don't know when the adcoms make decisions.
Anyway, just sharing in case this happens to anyone else. good luck on interviews!

Did those with interview invites all send in a rec. letter from an LAS prof? That is, if you didn't have a pre-med committee letter.
NOVA requirements w/out pre-med committee:
1. Physician letter
2. 2 Science Profs.
3. 1 LAS Prof.
I don't have a letter from an LAS prof and was wondering if this automatically disqualifies me? Thanks in advance. Was considering adding this school to my list.

I'd like to know this as well. I want to book a room for the night and I'm super paranoid that they'll magically be full if I wait any longer. Does anybody know the correct address? Also, my flight is coming in around midnight. Will the shuttle still be running or should I bank on getting a cab?

If you call the standard number and speak to an operator they will only tell you what is on your WEBSTAR page, as happened above, but if you call the person in admissions in charge of your app, they know. All apps are divied up alphabetically by last name. Your person's name is the return address on the emails you have been getting.

I'm doing okay. Anatomy went fine. Is that when you interviewed, around that first test?
I like Nova so far, it's ALMOST like Cali, but hope you get into a UC. I'll be up to my eyes in debt when I graduate from here, even though it's one of the more reasonably priced DO schools.
And you can't have my sandwiches.
NSU is strict about the Liberal arts letter according to earlier posts I read on this thread. Get one ASAP if you can! In my case, it had been over 5 years since I had taken my last non-science class. It was embarassing but I sucked it up and did it anyway because that non-science LOR was the last thing holding me back from applying to NSU.
I went back to my undergrad and had to track down my psychology professor (who had no idea who I was) for a LOR. I gave her my resume and personal statement after meeting her during her office hours before she finally decided to write me a LOR. Hope this helps, best of
i had the EXACT same problem. to summarize: i left grad school some time ago before i finished my PhD in microbiology (long story, but i had to leave school to work and take care of my sick parents...dad had cancer, mom in and out of hospital due to crohn's)
i hadn't taken a liberal arts class in over ten years. but i contacted the admissions department at NSU, explained my situation, and i was told a letter from my most recent employer will substitute for a liberal arts LOR
so, i dont know about the more traditional students, but for us non-traditional older students....it certainly doesn't hurt to ask. exceptions can be made

Got a kind of puzzling email from Nova... they sent me information about how to apply for financial aid...? I don't even have an interview there to my knowledge, it seems... strange. Is this just standard?

Hey guys, I have been complete at Nova since the middle of August. I was curious, I read somewhere earlier that they are not interviewing people with an MCAT lower than 27 right now. Has anyone on here interviewed with less than that?
