Are you from Kansas/Nebraska?
When did PulmCC get so competitive? I got an email from Tufts saying that this year by far is the most competitive year in over 7years! It used to be that PulmCC attracted people who were in love with the specialty...GI, Cards and HemOnc had their fair share of people needing to make a dollar.....the tide has turned, our specialty is now in demand but I am not clear as to what's causing it since GI,Card,HemOnc are still the big money makers and thus traditionally the most competitive..interesting
Question for the forum...I have applied to 49programs, I am IMG 2012 grad of an NYC University Program/abstracts + publication/ who decided to do molecular Pulm research before going into fellowship (because I love it)....
but so far no luck. My question is, should I at this stage be applying to more programs? Or is it normal to be at 0IV and 2Rej at this stage of the game?
It's a decision I need to make sooner rather than later.
Has stanford downloaded for anyone??
Do not worry buddy. 50% of people have visas. Most of them get a fellowship spot on the first try. Your home program is where you got greater chance of matching into. University program in NYC... I'd take that in a heartbeat and look no further.
Did anyone apply to Critical care fellowship or pulmonary and got an interview???

If you are a recent graduate, are you board certified? I think that BC does count once out of training.
