Official 2015-2016: Oh no, I don't have a single Interview Invite thread!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
White knuckling it this week. One of my two state schools has the last interview date of February 2 and I haven't heard back yet. There are 31 interview spots left. This week and next are my last hope. I work there, so at this point I'm just praying that I don't get a rejection email while at work.

I was honored to get an interview from one of my top choice schools, which I am hearing back from in about a week. This wait is killing me. I've never wanted anything this badly in my entire life. The funny thing is that back in December I had essentially resigned myself to reapplying, and I was alright with that. But if I get this far and then still don't get in, it will just be devastating. Still waiting to hear back from nine schools and holding out hope though!

Good Luck!!!

Feeling a bit desperate.. so I am looking at my little sheets of paper where I write down last years invites according to schools...Im holding onto Temple and Jefferson..they did have alot of invites given out last year even after this date...For those who applied there lets hold onto hope at least through Feb.

According to your sheets of paper, is there any hope for Tufts, Einstein, Virginia Tech, St. Louis, Albany, Penn State, Rush, Quinnipiac, Rosy Frank, U Cinci or Oakland

Someone said the last interview day for Cincinnati was January 27th, not sure if that's true though.

Edit: I just looked at last year's thread and they interviewed through March so I'm not sure where the person who posted that the last day was the 27th got that info.

Well maybe it's good news coming for you because jefferson rejected me 2 months ago. So they've definitely done rejections. Good luck.

That was me lol :angelic: The Assistant Dean of Admissions for Cincinnati told us that there's only the one interview day left unfortunately.

I know there is hope for Albany, my friend didn't get a request from Albany until Feb, interviewed in middle of March, accepted April Fool's Day! (this was from last year)

Are you on pre-II hold for Albany or have you just not heard anything from them?

Rosalind Franklin has given out all its invites. I know that Jefferson and Albany continue sending out IIs well into the spring.

Just to give you an idea..Temple II's 1/23, 1/28, 1/29, 2/16 a bunch, 2/20,3/3, 3/6, 3/9 & rejections came out 2/23 & 3/10.
Jefferson II's 1/29, 2/1, 2/7, 2/13, 2/17, 2/21, 2/24, 2/28, 3/4, 3/9, 3/10, 3/11 and rejections were 1/9.
This is why I have hope for these 2...if not I will reapply and its ok.

But, with Rosalind Franklin there is an interview waitlist that some were just added to. My only guess is that any movement seen in previous years through March and April came from that list or an unnanounced list like it.

For those with II/waiting to hear back on schools, do you know if you will be filling out the FASFA anyways? I know that FASFA has already opened and the deadline at most schools is March 1st. Is it wise to start filling it out and at least at schools that you are on the waitlist for?

I just have no idea how financial aid works out if you don't get accepted until after the FASFA filing date has passed?

I'm filling mine out as soon as my taxes are ready. I would definitely fill it out for schools that you're waitlisted at and anywhere you may have interviewed at but haven't heard from.

Okay, that was what I was thinking but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't jumping the gun here. I haven't gotten any of my W2's yet but I guess as soon as I get those I can start filling it out.

Are you able to resend the FASFA to schools after sending it once? I know you had the school codes to the form but I am wondering if you can go back and resend it if you get more II

You can add more schools later..

I would call to ask for sure, but from from what I gather, once you add a school and the FAFSA is complete, the report gets sent to them. As long as you're below 10 schools on your FAFSA list, you can add schools later.

That's exactly how their "secondary complete" email started too. "We are excited to inform you..." Kind of annoying imo.
Lol... at Mayo when they put someone on the wait-list they send an email and the subject header is "Congratulations on your Medical School Status" and then you open the email and it says "we wish to congratulate you on your placement to the wait list .... "

Incontrovertible proof that medical schools just like f***ing with us.

NOOOO, I'm sorry ! I was routing for you an the NY schools. You're still waiting on the Downstates though right?
Yes waiting on Downstate but I have a really bad feeling now. Also waiting on one post- interview decision. Very worried.
