LOL!!! Yes! Some schools update your status a few days early to tell you check back. Sometimes it means nothing, but according to sdn forums for the schools I interviewed with, it meant you were getting an acceptance. Even if it means nothing, it would be nice to see that these schools are actively doing ANYTHING with my file right now lol!

SIU and UK have done this for the last few years. If you're waiting to hear from a specific school, go skim their previous cycles forum. Skip down to the November posts and see if they mention status updates. Obviously, I'm just shooting in the dark and looking for ways to pass time for the next 9 days, so no promises lol!

Im currently "studying" for an exam that I have tomorrow. After that, Im hoping to be very busy on Thursday with Thanksgiving, im volunteering on Friday at the local soup kitchen, and then im hoping to find things to do that will keep me occupied (movies, clean, study...drink lots of wine). Im sure I will end up checking AADSAS every 5 min though 🙁

I think most people post their science GPA based on aadsas or tmdsas calculation. I wouldn’t worry about it though because I’m sure half the people on here either inflate their scores for ego or change them to be less identifiable.

BCP GPA and sGPA are two different things. For example, on my AADSAS application, my sGPA was 3.43 (with +/-) and BCP GPA was 3.32 (with +/-). BCP GPA is just biology, chemistry, and physics courses. Your sGPA includes ALL science related courses which includes electives as well (like biology as a nutrition course).

Twas the night before D-Day.
I sat alone in my house,
With my hand hovering over the computer mouse.
I'd been refreshing for three hours, but I didn't care,
Because I knew midnight would soon be here.

All of my friends are surely in bed,
With nightmares of finals running through their heads.
But finals are the furthest thing from my mind,
As I refreshed and refreshed, hoping an Accepted would be what I'd find.

The mailman is sick, with this I can't cope!
I lost my phone charger, so AADSAS is my only hope!!
Refreshing and refreshing, awaiting a change,
When, I finally noticed something strange.

Check back on Dec. 1st? was what I was reading!
Surely this has to have some other meaning!!
Could this be like the blanks of last year?
Oh, I wish midnight were already here!

Its been three months since my last interview.
For the decisions, I've been waiting. If you only knew!
The uncertainty is unbearable.
This anticipation is incomparable.

To think in mere minutes the wait could end,
Makes my weary mind bend.
Years of hard work have led to this night,
And the possibilities set me affright!

And here it is, already 12:01!
And the status updates? NONE!
Don't these Adcoms know how I'm feeling?
For how long my head has been reeling?!

All of these emotions have worn me out!
My friends don't know what all the fuss is about.
It's only the most important day of my life, I reason.
An acceptance would perfect this holiday season!

But 5 minutes later, no update yet.

Just to let you know, last year I didn't get any result on Dec 3rd as my my only interview was on November the 30th lol
So I got in that school in January, and all my other interviews and results were post December.
So do not lose hope and best of luck <3

Invitations for what? Interviews?

They'll usually only send an acceptance/waitlist/rejection if you interviewed.

If you didn't interview, there's a high chance of the status for that school not changing as majority of dental schools will not update status even though you may have already been rejected (still could receive interviews though).
