Got my score back today. For dedicated I really only studied 2 weeks, took all the NBMEs and UWSA2, read MTB x 1, re-watched OME for OBGyn/Surgery, and did about 2000 uWorld (I had completed it during 3rd year). I really felt the bulk of my studying was during 3rd year and that dedicated maybe added to my ability to take an 8 hour test and hammer home some key concepts. I consistently scored in the 99th-100th percentile on shelfs by doing OME, Zanki, UWorld, Pre-test, and would read 1-2 books during the rotation depending on if the rotation was longer or the books were shorter.
I felt Step 2 was very similar to the NBMEs, slightly harder, but not as hard as UWSA2. That kind of freaked me out the day before my test cause I was running out of time, while during the test I had a lot of time. I felt that more studying would not have garnered more right questions, rather it required a lot of good intuition on questions and process of elimination. There would be a question where the answer would be something I never studied in my life, but you could reason out the 4 wrong choices. My scores and experience are not applicable to everyone, but the best advice I can provide is if you put in the effort into the shelfs, you will be well prepared for dedicated.
