why does it say MATCH ranking is open from October 24th to November 24th? I'm guessing that's for ORTHO and a separate one will open for GPR?

Yes that's phase 1 match for perio, ortho, pros. Phase 2 match for GPR, Peds, AEGD, OMFS rankings opens 12/12/22 and rank list is due 01/13/2023. Match day for phase 2 is 01/23/2023.

If you apply to AEGDs through NYU Langone, as a Canadian appliant do you just have to write INBDE to be eligible to work in the US? Or do you have to be licensed by the state?

Depends on the state but some require you to have eligible for the states license or some states sponsor the license. I’m Canadian and I only had the the boards done when I applied.

Does anybody know if the San Francisco VA gave out interviews yet? Last year they seemed to have given them out quite early, despite their deadline being next month.

Has anyone applied to the GPR at the VA hospital in Philadelphia? I sent them a supplemental application via email but never got a confirmation that they received it and I can’t find a number to call them. Did anyone hear a reply from them?

Would not rank Lincoln GPR in Bronx, NY. Very few assistants, limited materials (run out of proper instruments by noon), overbooked 30 min appointments, >60-70% of visits since July have been exams (and good luck doing procedures with the limited supplies we have). No control over our schedule. Lots of clinical decisions are made by hospital ambulatory care staff with no dental experience. 100% of residents miserable. New PD during program, change is promised but very slow to effect.
