Just received invites from columbia (virtual - asked to select two dates on a weds or a thursday - I selected oct 13/14)

and UAB sent me a virtual invite (october 6th)

Did they respond to confirm the chosen dates? They were supposed to confirm on the 9th but till now they haven't got back to me!

I did but they did not let me travel. I am from Greece. Did anyone manage to get an exemption in order to travel for an interview?

We have a similar situation here in Egypt and the embassy only grants emergency visa appointments and that is when you get accepted by a program and applying for an F1 visa.
So I personally applied to programs with virtual interview only.
