**Official 2022 Prosthodontics PASS/Interviews/Match/Non-Match**

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
TBH ranking schools is more stressful than what I thought. Some interviews were like 20 minutes with 20 applicants on the list. At the end they would say (it was nice talking to you and we are going to rank you, good luck and you know it is MATCH at the end). But I guess it is fair, we should all rank the schools we liked with lots of prayer lol. Good luck everyone!

MATCH favours the candidates, not the schools. My advice would be to rank only the programs which you will be happy to attend. For those of you who are graduating from school, there are certain advantages to working in private practice for a year and re-applying if you do not match with the programs you aim for. That scenario is far better than attending a 3-year program that you are not content with.

I was fortunate to interview at over 10 universities last year, yet I only ranked 4 of those programs. Be picky! 3 years is far too long to be anywhere just for the sake of being in a prosth program.

Does anyone know how many candidates did university of Texas Houston have? was it around 15 ?

does anyone know what the reputation of UNC or Texas A&M is?

What is the difference between Michigan and OSU ?
And which one you prefer? Why?
I am not sure about Michigan since I did not apply there. Ohio was nice and they have a huge patient pool but digital dentistry is not (top notch) if that is what you are looking for. They also do some surgeries but not much.

I agree with what was said. OSU doesn’t do much for surgeries because the previous program director was against it. I also have in my notes that they had a large emphasis on research. I didn’t interview at Michigan so idk anything about their program!

@Dogtreats @prosthaholicDDS What about Rochester program?
In my opinion they're one of the best pros programs out there. High emphasis on digital workflow with everything you need and they do many surgical implant placement add to that in vivo research. I believe it's the whole package.
The only downside is that it's a bit pricey.

@Dogtreats @prosthaholicDDS What about Rochester program?
I agree with @A.Baz. It is a very well rounded program. However, it is expensive. I can not recall how much but I am sure it was out of my budget lol. I already went to a super expensive school and my goal is to keep my loans as low as possible.

It is almost time guys! good luck with the ranking process and I hope everyone get matched with their #1 school!.

Hey!! Does anyone have a review of the reputation of the program at the Univ of Alabama vs Univ of Minnesota? The difference between the two programs?

Hey!

No idea about Michigan but Minnesota is an excellent program ( at least in my point of view). Great Director, high patient pool, digital seems to be ok not the greatest, residents do a good amount of surgeries, and most importantly an AFFORDABLE program!.

I think Alabama is a good school. They get to see a lot of unique cases I believe and they have lab techs to help with case load so they can see more patients. I don’t believe they get to do many surgeries though.

I think Minnesota is a good program with a lot of surgeries! I agree with what was said about the program from others. I don’t know about actually living in Minnesota (winters are harsh there 😬).

Hello folks, can anyone please share some insight about BU CAGS? Thank you.

Do you guys know what time the results come out??
actually now that I’ve read it again, I’m not sure. doesn’t look like there’s a set time but programs have to submit open spots for post match by 12 ET… idk I’m confused lol

I did a GPR in 2020 and the match results for that came out ~8:02am. Noon is the cutoff - when post-match opens. Hope that helps!

Thank you guys for your feedbacks and advices here in the group. I was matched in Louisiana and I am very happy! Congratulations to all who got matched too!

It may not be relevant now but just to know, will the program send an email to candidates they are thinking to rank or do they just rank and see if it is matched ?? Thanks

Just curious.. could someone post the schools that didnt match this year/have open positions?
