Is MUSC late this year? Previous years they held interviews at the end of September but no word from them so far this year.
 
The interview cycle is almost coming to an end! Hope everyone here has heard from at least one of the programs they applied to.

I'm a resident at the VA Indy. I may be biased but I think it's one of the most clinically oriented programs. We do by far more implants and surgical procedures than university based programs because tx is at no cost to the veterans. We have one spot open for next year. It's a separate application, however it does participate in MATCH. Get your application in ASAP.
 
Alright folks, looks like most interviews are coming to an end.

Official rankings open on October 28 and end November 15. Official match results will be released on November 22, 2024.
 
Anybody been to UAB already and know if there’s a social? I haven’t gotten info for one, but my friend is applying to ortho and has two socials (one the night before and one the night of). I’m about to book my flight and didn’t want it to run into the time of the social if there is one,

Every program director has different rules for their interviews. Some offer socials, while others do not even within the same school.

As far as UAB, I would reach out directly to the Admin Supervisor to double check the details (Elizabeth Bolton). I wish I could give you a definitive answer, but I did not interview there. Best of luck!
 
Has anyone had any rejections from Columbia if they received the application review email?
 
Hi everyone! I received an email from one of the periodontics programs saying they would include me in their rank list for the match.

Should I expect similar emails from all the programs that plan to rank me, or is it not common for schools to notify applicants? I’m worried that programs that haven’t sent an email might not be ranking me. Could it be that this one school just reached out as a courtesy?

No, getting an email from programs indicating they will rank you is just a courtesy from some, and not the majority. I would continue to rank the schools as you best see fit for your goals and education.
