So I have a spot at a non-match school. I have 3 other programs in the match that I have interviewed with. If I stay in the match system and submit a Rank Order List come the deadline I know I will be bound by the match to go to one of those schools if I match with them. Does anyone know if there is any ramifications to even submitting a Rank Order List that would impact my non match school? or is it just up to me to inform the non-match program that I matched come match day and will be withdrawing from the non-match?

It is up to you to inform the non-match program.

Does your non-match program require you to withdraw from the match because you accepted the spot?

Do non match schools not say anything when they offer you a spot about still being in match? If so, what do they say?

You should read the match rules. If you accept the non match position you are supposed to withdraw from the match entirely

Hi everyone,I was wondering if any international applicants have heard back yet from UCLA’s non-match orthodontics program? Just trying to get a sense of the timeline this year. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

I’m assuming there is no point in attending any of my remaining non-match interviews as I will definitely be staying in the match. However, should I still attend the non-match interviews (without accepting a non-match position if offered) due to the off chance that I don’t match and a non-match program still needs to fill the spot? Or am I grasping at straws?

If it were me I would still attend the non-match interviews

If someone doesn’t match into an ortho program, is it generally better to enter the workforce or complete a GPR/AEGD? Do program directors tend to favor continued academic involvement or real-world experience?

Hey everyone!
Is there any chance anyone interviewing at Jacksonville on October 20th would be willing to switch to an earlier interview slot that same day? Mine’s currently at 5:30 PM, but I have another interview the next morning (the 21st) and my only decent flight out is at 7:30 PM.
I’m honestly so nervous I won’t make it in time, and I’d be eternally grateful if someone was willing to trade! Please message me if you’d be open to switching — I’d seriously owe you one!! 🙏

Hi!! Is there anyone who has an interview at Marquette on Wednesday October 22nd that could possible switch to the Tuesday the 21st interview? I would really appreciate it!!

If you're offered a non-match position and end up rejecting it, I highly doubt that the program would offer you that spot again even if they still need spots filled after the match.

I think what he would do is if someone drops a post-match non-match spot and he gets offered it, it would be worth it if he didn't have a program to match with.

I have 1 nonmatch interview and 2 match interviews.. what are my chances🥲

Usually the non match ones already released their acceptances or you have not interviewed there yet?
Does it make a difference that the class sizes for the 2 match programs are 10 and 6? On the larger size
