**Official Interview/Acceptance/Rejection Thread 2013-2014**

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Got the MWU-AZ rejection as well (never interviewed there). I already knew this was coming, since they told me my QR score on the DAT was too low when I called a few months ago. It's at least nice that they didn't just leave other people in the dark. Still, they could have at least bcc'd it so you couldn't see all 200 - 300 people that it was sent to lol.

Did you ever get an interview waitlist letter back in the summer?

I JUST looked back at the email.
HAHA, way to NOT BCC it. Omg. That's borderline too funny.

i was wondering. Did you ever interview there? I called them up in september and was told i was waitlisted for an interview.

Nope, no interview. This is actually the first time hearing from them since the AADSAS portal update, and their personal portal update!

Nah, no interview waitlist; one day all of my portal information just vanished. I called and asked why my portal said there was no information available anymore, back in August. They told me, "Your portal has no information because you're no longer being considered for this cycle." Told me I needed ~19 on QR to be competitive.

That's weird because I got a 15 on QR and for wait listed for an interview and no rejection yet

Wow... how embarrassing for their institution. I hope someone gets scolded for that one

LOL!!! If I could like my own comment, I'd do it for this one. I'm guessing it was just an accident on MWU-AZ's part not BCC'ing it, but this is still awesome and funny. Someone just sent this email to them (and apparently everyone else on the list):

I am not sure if this is how confidential items are handled at your University, but this is not only unprofessional in so many ways but an embarrassment to your level of organization and preparedness. Sending a denial letter is a private matter, one that should not be disclosed to an additional 349 applicants!

The fact that email is the most common way of correspondence, you should take a refresher course on how to find the Bcc option also known as blind carbon copy, to prevent applicant names from being shown.

As stated in your own email:
The information contained in this e-mail and any accompanying documents is intended for the sole use of the recipient to whom it is addressed, and may contain information that is privileged, confidential, proprietary to sender, and prohibited from disclosure under applicable law. If you are not the intended recipient, or authorized to receive this on behalf of the recipient, you are hereby notified that any review, use, disclosure, copying, or distribution is prohibited. If you are not the intended recipient(s) or have received this communication in error, please contact the sender by e-mail, delete it from your computer, and destroy all copies of the original message.

Thank you.

You have GOT to let us read the apology the school sends out.

Yeah I'm curious what they'll be sending back to us. I don't care too much that they've sold off my email to the others since I'm already accepted elsewhere and don't know many pre-dents in real life, but this could be pretty embarrassing for some others.

"...... We're extremely sorry for the public disclosures... (Edited) lost his job."

That's a pretty big privacy issue on his part, but hopefully he keeps his job. Was probably just an accident (I'd hope lol).

thought it was messed up all applicants were included on the list in the email too.
but the fact you addressed him directly.... R.I.P.

I didn't send that email, and left the sender's name out on purpose. They responded to everyone in the original email, so anyone that got the initial email received the response as well.

Wow, I just realized she responded not only to him, but also to their communications team, MWU-AZ's admissions, and MWU-IL's admissions committees. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!

Haha omg. Can we read what she said??

My bad, it wasn't a new email, I just saw in the email recipients that she also included MWU communications and MWU-IL's admissions instead of just MWU-AZ. So, basically all of Midwestern (admissions/dental?) faculty is going to know about it, both in Arizona and Illinois. She was definitely not happy with them...

Haha so I'm not the only one alert them about the mistake.

Let's file a lawsuit against MWU-AZ to get the secondary application fee back!!!

jk ^^

This is absolute gold.

For all of you who recently received an interview from Tufts.... What does it have under "School Decisions" on AADSAS? Mine is "Received/Application Complete." Does this mean I'm not being reviewed anymore? Would love to hear from them! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also not sure how many times MWU-AZ needs to reject me. Once when I called months ago (October?), once again via snail mail, and again with the public letter today. I mean, I got the point after the paper copy.

I received an interview invite from the Temple university this afternoon. Haven't really decided if I should attend it or not (aka thin wallet).

Anyone here interview at UF or NOVA in December and hear back? They said they would shoot for the 7th but not guarantees, did I miss the cut or are they still deciding our fates.

- note a friend of mine who had an interview pre-December and who was on the high holds list received a call on the 6th I'm wondering if that was just for the waitlist individuals or did they make all their January calls already???

If anyone could shed light on the status of either FL schools I would greatly appreciate it

I got an interview invite from Tufts on Monday and Western today. I'll will be turning them down. Good luck to those of you still interviewing!

Rejected from NOVA by snail mail received 1/8

Rejected from NOVA by snail mail received 1/8

I'm sorry to hear that, I checked the mail today and luckily had nothing. If you dont mind me asking when did you interview at NOVA? All this waiting around is killing me especially since they told me they would respond on the 7th, being that the 7th has passed I'm worried I missed the cut 🙁

@duvaldentist

I interviewed with NOVA on 11/21. I knew I did not do well at the interview so I expected the results. Someone from the school specific thread mentioned that NOVA called them last Friday about an acceptance.

I don't know, I was never given any status update after interview. Neither portal updates or e-mail.

Rejected from Kentucky via email. Probably one of the nicer rejections though, saying they ran out of interview spots for this year

Accepted: Nova, Notification phone call Jan 6th.
Waitlist: Baylor
Interviews: Meharry, Baylor, Nova

I'm from Texas and I had my interview in November. I haven't heard anything since then so I assume I'm on waitlist. I've dropped by the office to inquire about my status and they have told me that the second round of offers will be sent out from Jan. 26th - beginning of Feb. I hope that helps.

Wait listed at Utah. No interview. Anyone know what that's about?

Which schools did you apply to? And What are your stats?
