I should note that my own state schools, which I interviewed in October, still haven't responded back to me...but oh well...

Thanks man, I appreciate it. It's bitter sweet because it was nice to know someone who was in the same boat as me in terms of frustration and confusion. But I'm sure you'll be hearing good news really soon. When that time comes though, I'm still ready to buy the first round haha

Because a lot of Sdners think that there must be something about an applicant that help his/her receive interviews/acceptances with such low DAT or GPA. For example : non-traditional student, URM, unlimited Extracurricular activities, etc.

lol. I kind of felt bad for the guy in that video. His music was really touching and I actually was quite moved by it. Maybe there is something wrong with Howard? I mean I have visited a couple of dental schools and I have to say Howard looked very dirty in that video.

How does a 3.99/4.0/19AA constitute "such a low DAT or GPA"? I'd venture a confident guess that your DAT falls well within one standard deviation of the mean academic average. At any rate, I hope your success gives some folks with cc prereqs confidence that it can be done. nice job this cycle!

63 credits of CC here and and got a 19 DAT and had 5 pre December interviews.

All of my prereqs are from CC (over 10 years old), and they gave an interview, and an acceptance, and the academic scholarship, so it all needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Apparently they didn't care about CC credits either. Maryland was the only school that didn't accept my prereqs but not because they were from CC but because they were old.

Wow, what a great week! First received an interview from Columbia this past Monday and now today I receive one from Temple! 🙂

Thank you Kevin! Trust me, I had to call at least 10 times just to get through the busy signal. You just gotta keep pushing through and you will eventually get it. I scheduled my interview for jan 31.

I think that is the case for a lot of people. Now if you did well on your courses at a CC then went to a university and did poorly that would raise a red flag. From my understanding, Temple dental school was closed today due to the snow.

Just call! They probably updated the portal before sending out an e-mail. It can never hurt to call and ask.

rejected from U of KY, but they were super nice about it, they even made a phone call appointment with me to talk to admissions counselor to identify potential problem areas, conversation was helpful, definitely ask them why you were denied
