Official: Johns Hopkins Class of 2007 Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hey everyone. I hope you all are doing well. I?ve been out of the country for awhile on a whirlwind tour of Europe (right now I?m in Rome!!! It?s so cool!) Damn these apostrophes! I signed all my paperwork and promissory notes and all that crap right before I left. It really felt weird to do that....I feel like I finally made a real decision finally. Kinda scary though...in some way, like VW said. And yo, Amir, wuz up. I called home the other day using some crappy phonecard that gave me like 4 minutes, and the last thing my mom told me before my card crapped out was that you were one of my roommates for next year (i got some housing packet i guess). Pretty funny.. 😛 Can?t wait to meet you all though. On to Florence tomorrow!! Ciao for nao.

Hey CHooch!

I feel very honored to have my name consume 3 out of the 4 overseas-call minutes you had. But yeah my room is 5a-2, which means its next to yours too! I am very quiet btw except I like to kick walls for stress relief and practice my drums in early hours of the morning.
(just kiddin)

So hows everyone feeling with 36 days left till school starts?
anybody cranked that review packet open yet?

miroz

First Union (which is about to become Wachovia) has a branch right near (on??) campus - it's on Monument Street on the way to the market - not as close as the Bank of America but still very close. And I got free checking with them, I don't know what the deal is with BoA.

I second Swaroop's recommendation about the Berg book - it is a great book, but the Biochem text I already had would have been sufficient and the notes are completely stand alone anyway...it's not like you need the most up to date text in order to find the structures of the 20 amino acids 🙂 (And you will have to have those memorized for the first test, by the way) The first exam is partly open book - Dr. Berg really is all about easing you into the rigors of medical school. Things gradually pick up - you barely notice the fact that you have more work each week until it's too late 😉

Chooch - you probably won't see this in time for it to do any good, but...have fun in Florence, and watch your belongings! I went to Italy with my family when I was 8 or 9, and in Florence, my dad had his wallet stolen out of his pocket by a band of gypsies armed with newspapers! 😱 (and you think I'm kidding!! ) Thank goodness for travelers' cheques!

Amiroz - not much time left, is there? I'm just starting to realize that my summer is slowly but surely drawing to a close. I haven't cracked open the review questions yet, though. I'll probably do those a week or two before class starts. If I do them too soon I'll probably just forget everything all over again by the time school starts!

And congrats to Hopkins for being named "Best Hospital" in the US for the 13th time in a row!

Wow...I haven't posted in forever! I remember around this time last year, I would check SDN every 2 minutes.

Yes...the sentiments were very much the same...so much excitement and a twinge of apprehension. I knew that my class would be pretty darn intelligent and I was afraid to see where I would stand among them.

But don't worry...you guys sound really chill and laid back. Hopkins first year was challenging for me in many ways...but I think it would have been the same story regardless of where I went. But I wouldn't have had cool classmates like 916 and swaroop1 and gradient!

If ya'll have any questions to ask a second year, send them my way! (or to swaroop and dawn and scott)

cheers!

Hey yall

I remember it was mentioned somewhere on revisit that we can take non-medical electives at homewood like music, arts, history, etc.
When does that come into play? I need to continue learning music before i forget the little i know
Also will we really have time for something of the sort?

Merci
miroz

Yep. You can take courses in any part of the university (Homewood, Peabody, etc) at no additional charge. Cross-registration is easy.

During first year, you'll essentially have 4 1/2 afternoons off every week... this is a perfect time to take music lessons, brush up on Shakespeare, learn Spanish, or take a nap. Once you get the hang of being a medical student (it won't take that long), you'll feel comfortable using those afternoons for something.

Have fun,
doepug (MS IV)

Amiroz, what do you play?

I was planning on either taking classes at Peabody or taking Spanish at Homewood - not really sure of which I should try to do though. But I definitely want to take advantage of that since we have the opportunity - not many other schools allow you to cross register for free.

RD, I am LEARNING to play the elec guitar. I took private classes for 2 semesters, but now am as good (or as bad) as an absolute beginner, its been a year since i touched my guitar, its been sitting accumilating dust in my room 🙁

Thanx doepug, this is really comforting info

miroz

Doepug's definitely right! You guys should take advantage of the courses off campus. The school does have very strong English and History departments...

Plus, Peabody's great. I studied piano there for two years during college and then, during my first year of med school I participated in the Peabody Hopkins choir...that was an awesome experience. You guys should consider branching out and doing other things during first year. I didn't realize until now how much more time first years have than second years...and I regret not having done more! 🙁

later guys! congrats on getting in and I'll see ya'll within a couple of months!!

Whatsup yall

Not a single post in the last 5 days! you guys should really be milking your summer out of every bit of fun you can have.

Well, hope yall are enjoying this hot and rainy confused summer. Im bored as hell here staring at the review packet and STryer from a distance and watching them stare me back right in the eye😡

Im still the man though, they havent gotten me yet!

Miroz

You're right - a month left till school starts and all I've been doing is working! Well, whatever, it has been relaxing, which is the most important part. Gotta be refreshed enough to crack open the books again in September.

I'm loving the weather. It has been cooler here lately (meaning < 100 degrees) due to the cloud cover and the thunderstorms are a welcome sight in the desert, even if they tend to last about 5 minutes on average. 😛

Have you guys gotten that mail from the Hopkins AMSA chapter? It sounds interesting - but I'm wondering what the interest is among established med students. Is it something that most med students are a part of, or is it more of a specialty group that a few of the more politically active students participate in? Anybody interested in joining?

RD, to answer your question, I think a lot of people joined AMSA just for the sake of joining--to get the magazines and the free Netter (which comes in real handy). Although there are some people that are serious about the organization...it's a good idea to join AMSA and AMA during orientation week and get the free stuff...plus with AMA you get JAMA and Stedman's so it's a good deal. You're not bound to coming to the meetings or anything, though.

Yeah I didn't wind up getting that in time! Those gypsies stole my GIRLFRIEND!!! Hehe, thanks for the heads up though. I heard about tons of little schemes that people use there to get your money....especially in Rome and Florence. Little kids will surround you and fish through your pockets while distracting you, RD's gypsie friends will get up in your face and somehow grab all your belongings...and some people will walk up to you, tie something around your wrist before you know what's going on, and expect you to pay them like 20 bucks for it!! (they won't leave you alone until you pay either, ahh!) We were really careful about all of our belongings and turned out fine, but we were with a group of people and some others had some close calls.

But anyway, I got back home on Sunday night. Today was sweet, cause I got to sleep til 1PM. That should rid me of my jet lag. It was such a cool trip though, we got to see a ton of stuff (7 countries) in a pretty short time (16 days). Europe was pretty sweet. 😎

And yo, Amir, your kicking walls and drumming will fit in well with my Tourette's...so it's all cool. 😉

Nylee, thanks for the info. When school starts I will look into it again - I think it's funny you have to sign up for a credit card to get the anatomy book. As if we won't be in enough debt already without extra credit cards lying around to tempt us!

Chooch - what an awesome trip! I'm glad my evil Italian gypsy gang managed to pass you over  Some day I hope to make it back to the mediterranean countries (esp. Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey) since I was too young to really appreciate it the last time I was there. Maybe once we graduate, yeah? 🙂

So where did everyone run off to? VW, Nimbus, Phaedrus, Aristian, Sapphire - all mysteriously vanished...

i'm feeling nostalgic so i thought i'd check in on my life in that parallel universe where i attend hopkins... chooch, they stole you away from penn!... that's cool, i'm sure you'll love it there... i had a blast at second look... it was fun, huh RD?!?... it seems you guys will have an awesome class... are you nervous at all?... i'm not feeling too different from how i usually feel, but i'm sure that'll change in two weeks when orientation starts!... eek!... i have no idea what happened to my summer!... anyway, take care guys 🙂

Hi Everyone

Today I logged on and was browsing the forum for anything relevant. Very close to nothing. I noticed the forum is flooded in with class of 2008 applicants. Gosh! The anxiety, nervousness, uncertainty. It does seem to me like alot of them are over-reacting to issues like secondaries and what not. But hey, we wre very much there. I spent half my earnings and sanity last summer on primaries, secondaries and interview expenses.

I guess in another month we make the transitiont to the "big boy" forum huh? Then come in here once in a while to check on the youngsters and be the helpful encouraging future MDs like Swaroop, Nylee and them.

Were really blessed you guys... we made it.....I know Im no where near deserving to be amongst the top 5.6% applicants but Im honored to be a member of the group.

So how about that for our first party's theme

   WE MADE IT:clap:

Amir

I'm throwing my hat into the ring as one of the first JHU-SDN raquetball members. I may suck, and may cause the ball to be permanently lodged in your arse, but if you need someone to humor you, I can be that person.

Hey everyone....I returned from my trip to Burma and Taiwan...Did you all miss me? 🙂 Anyways, just got back and noticed that I haven't don't anything to prepare for moving to Baltimore, so I am freaking out.
When are you guys getting to Baltimore? I don't want to get there too early and find myself all alone in Reed (that's a scary thought....). Any helpful tips and suggestions would be very much appreciated. I am on a lookout for a good deal on air ticket and a laptop.

Congrats to everyone in the Class of '07! Hopkins is an awesome place to become a doctor.

I'm a new fourth year at Hopkins, moving to a new house, and I'm trying to sell a beautiful entertainment center that I can't bring with me. It's in excellent condition, and I can hold it until 8/31 for anyone who's interested. E-mail or PM me for details.

Cheers,
doepug

Amiroz - amen brother!!! I remember at the beginning of the application cycle seeing the people who had been accepted at Hopkins last year and thinking how wonderful it must feel to be in that position and that I didn't think I would ever get the same chance. But Hopkins was my first interview and my first acceptance - it had to be a sign!! 😉 It is definitely important to remember how fortunate we are to have this opportunity.

XCanadian - seriously, NO ONE is more awful at racquetball than I am. Volleyball, soccer, basketball - fine. But if I have to hit a ball with something other than my foot or my fist, forget it.

Shik - wow, Penn is starting really soon! We're sorry that you won't be with us at Hopkins but as Chooch (who is taking your place in this universe) will tell you any day of the week, Penn is an amazing school too. You're gonna have a great time - come see us on an elective rotation! 🙂

Nimbus - Welcome back! I'm planning on getting in Baltimore either the 26th or the 27th, so I won't be there any too early. But I know people are moving into Reed as early as the weekend before orientation.

Rapid - I'm still around. I have been doing a lot of rafting, golfing and other outdoors stuff lately, so haven't written in a while. All these activities have made me soo tan... I felt the same way about the 1st years during my interview, about how wonderful it must be to be going to Hopkins. It still hasn't dawned on me I'm going yet. However, I know it's going to be a great experience.

Nimbus - Welcome back! I'm moving in on the 23rd, so that I can have time to experience the city for a little bit. So if you move in around that time, you'll have me to hang out with.. or avoid.. whichever is the case. I hope your trip was good; I'm still jealous that you got to travel and I'm stuck here 😉. I usually use cheaptickets.com for airplane tickets. Theres a bunch of good websites for plane tickets like travelocity.com, orbitz.com, expedia.com, priceline.com... For a laptop, the best deals are usually found at Dell, every week they have a new offer on laptops so if you don't like their special this week, usually next week the special changes and they are pretty reliable computers.

 It's actually great to know that those went out. I just wrote the letter and sent y'all's addresses to the AMSA folks and they did the rest, so I'm glad. Obviously, I think it's a great organization, and there's quite a few of us who are active in national events at Hopkins. Being so close to DC it's really easy to get involved in small time activist events, lobbying, etc. About half the class each year joins AMSA, mostly for the "free" Netter's (you need to sign up for the credit card, basically, because the book is a marketting ploy from MBNA - but you never do HAVE to use the card, just sign up for it, like any other credit card give-away). I think that those folks who dig a little deeper beyond the free Netter's either find AMSA to be great - organized medicine that still is very idealistic in principles and actions - or else they find out that it' not something they really want to be involved in and that's okay too. You'll still get all the discounts that come with your membership 😉

Anyway, I'll see y'all at the Activities Fair on August 28 and we'll chat more then. Until then, hasta luego, babv, I'm goin' to SPAIN!!!

Aristian : Cool! I am going to book the flight tonight. I am coming on the 24th or 25th, whichever is cheaper. Thanks for the advice on Dell. Did you get a Dell? I think Dell is probably the best deal for a decent brand, but I am still looking for a great brand at Dell prices (still hoping the impossible 😀 ).

Rapid : How about you? Are you going to lug your PC or are you getting a laptop?

Hi, everyone ... I was in moving-purgatory for several weeks ... on--GASP--dial-up, if at all, so very little Internet for me ... Anyway, I'm in Baltimore now, so PM me for contact info if you're in town. 😀

nimbus, you CLAIM to be the worst racquetball player amongst us, but I venture that you will meet your match in me. 😉 We shall see, hmm?

I, too, am contemplating classes at Peabody. It's been a decade (gasp) since my last formal music lesson, and I would totally dig access to a piano again ... On the other hand, Spanish would be useful ... I have been taking a self-paced Berlitz course to get the basics, but I could use some social practice ... Quesiera un pollo, por favor!

Nimbus - erk. I'll be driving cross country with my gigantic desktop in tow. Maybe now *would* be a good time to upgrade to a nice laptop (I bought a crappy one off Ebay that worked for two years and then stopped  but luckily it didn't cost that much), but my computer still keeps up well enough with the times (it's a 4 year old Pentium 500 Mhz) even though it can't play the latest games. 😉

VW - hey you! I figured you were busy making the move - hopefully you're adjusting well to the new surroundings. And I'm impressed! How much Spanish does the Berlitz go through? In three years of high school Spanish (which is soooo slow paced) I don't think I ever officially learned about that verb form, though I recognize it (conditional, right?). I have been looking for a program that is comprehensive (goes through everything you would need to know to be fluent, minus the actual social experience and probably some vocabulary) but haven't had any luck in my price range. 😀

VW: Haha, sorry, but it was Rapid who claimed to be the worst raquetball player. However, since I have never played raquetball(nor do I have a clue about how to play it), I might as well claim that I am the worst raquetball player. Anyways, I am going to see if I can take Spanish classes. I took Spanish over the summer, and thus learned very little which I immediately proceeded to forget. FYI, I also only have dial-up at home, so I am going to the local library to use their ethernet. Life really sucks with dial-up, I wonder how I survived my high school years.

Maybe its true what they say about Hopkins kids and competition... However, the competition seems to be for the title of worst at racquetball

Nimbus - I've had 2 Dells so far and they are quality computers for a great price. I'm probably going to be getting a laptop just to make studying in various locations easier. An important thing to remember about laptops is that they are only as good as their warranty since they tend to break down a lot.. so get a good warranty.

Spanish classes seem like a great idea. I took spanish for the first two years of college, but know nothing other than what to order at taco bell, as of now. There are a lot of classes I'd love to take, I just hope there is enough time.

Sorry, nimbus and RD--quite right you are that RD claims to be the worst at r-ball. So, RD, maybe I am NOT quite adjusted to the surroundings yet, as I'm too addled to keep track of who said what ... Just kidding--I love the area so far. It's so funny--they keep talking about how bad the humidity is right now, and just having moved from central NC, I must scoff at the locals' pitiful definitions of "uncomfortably humid." Mwuhahahahaha ... It's OK, though, as I will get my come-uppance in November. 🙂

I got my Berlitz Spanish course a couple of Christmases ago at Best Buy for $20. It has 4 CDs and seemed to be both the most reasonable and most comprehensive of the choices at the time. I'm about half-way through the first CD and I have learned present and future tense with ira+infinitive (OK, so maybe "learned" is an overstatement, but that was my last lesson before the move). I also know many different ways to describe the weather. The course claims to get pretty advanced, but my aim is learn enough to be functional in an ED (once I get the medical terms).

Music to my ears! Though since I am used to single digit humidity, I will probably be one of the ones whining pitifully. Oh well, I'll get through it, one way or another. 🙂

Next time I'm at Best Buy I might look for that program. My moderate Spanish has luckily stayed with me pretty well through four years in Los Angeles, but in Baltimore it will probably deteriorate more quickly. Time to put some effort into it!

Aristian - That's me, the overachieving underachiever. Be forewarned, I plan to do whatever it takes to be the absolute worst racquetball player in the class! 😉

Hehe, this racquetball stuff should be pretty interesting. 😉 We just have to make sure no one loses an eye! 😱 I haven't played racquetball in awhile though, can't wait to start it up again.

I'm finally done travelling for the summer. Just got back from a week at Myrtle Beach....my grandparents live there. It was cool though, I got to play some golf and get some sun at the beach. I think I messed up my wrist golfing. It really hurts to move it now. But anyway I have like 2 and a half weeks to do nothing. This summer has freaking flown by. I'm wondering if med school will go by as fast as college did.

About the spanish thing guys, I had 4 years of it in high school and a semester in college...and all that I have salvaged from it is some kind of pathetic spanglish. "Donde es my booko?" I think I still have a textbook somewhere though, I guess that could help.

About the computer stuff, is Hopkins wireless? I thought about getting a laptop awhile ago but wound up getting a new desktop. So unless getting a laptop would make some things extremely easier, I'll probably stick with the desktop the whole way through. Any thoughts?

Hey, Chooch--my mother-in-law lives in Pawleys Island (the town, not the island proper), so I know the Myrtle Beach area pretty well. Nice place to relax for a week.

RD, coming from the West, the humidity probably will seem pretty bad to you. I visited a relative in Albequerque a while back--damn, it was nice having the sweat just evaporate away when you run! Just remind yourself that you could have ended up at Emory or Tulane. 😉

Hey. I didn't even know that this thread existed. I'll be going to Hopkins, and I'm living in Reed hall. Can anyone tell me how much space there is in one of those suite bedrooms. I'm trying to figure out how much stuff I can bring. Thanks.

Hi all

Just got my itinerary planned out. I will be there soon as they open Reed up! Aug 22nd. Im guessing its a Friday. I figured Id go there a lil early and buy everything I will need for the room from Baltimore. (This is really an option only because I live in Northern Virginia : ~1hr drive) I dont think there are any newcomer activties until the 28th .
Anyways Im definitely coming early, if its empty and boring, I can always drive home and come back on the 28th.

Who else is coming early besides Vinesse, Aristian and I??
We can all organize a lil outing while we early birds are there, do a lil Baltimore or DC thing. Let me know if you guys are interested.

[email protected]

Aristian: Doh, I was hoping that I can save like $200 by not getting the extended warranty. I was 'counting' on Dell being able to survive for at least 4 years without much problems.

RD: Haha....You can kiss your chances of being the worst raquetball player good-bye if I decide to take up raquetball. 😛

DR2007: Welcome to the thread DR2007. Hopkins should have mailed a description of the room dimensions with the huge package that you got (you know, the one with the hellish study questions that I've refused to touch 😀). Other than that, I can only say that it is a decent size room, that is not unlike a typical dorm room at any given college.

VW: I just got back from two asian countries during their monsoon season, and I tried playing basketball with my cousins at high noon. I am going to have to see Baltimore's humidity, but it can't be that bad (famous last words before whining like a little kid about Baltimore's humidity). 😉

Dr.Chooch: You got a desktop? Did you build or get it somewhere else. I was thinking of getting a desktop and delivering it to Reed. I wonder how good Reed Hall's mailroom is at handling incoming packages....

I wound up buying a dell cause my ass was too lazy to look for the parts to build. 😀 It's a nice computer though. I had a laptop during college...an IBM Thinkpad. It was an awesome laptop, and I definitely would recommend thinkpads to everyone. I haven't really heard any complaints from anyone about thinkpads...although they might cost slightly more than other brands...not exactly sure though. I didn't have one problem in 5 years with mine. Not bad. 🙂

Welcome Dr2007! The rooms in Reed are decent sized, especially because there is only one person in a room. Not a lot of room for extra furniture, if that's what you are thinking about, but one of my hosts at Revisit did have a big comfy chair and footrest (in addition to his desk chair) in his room, with room to spare.

VW - true, true! Besides the constant nosebleeds that I got when I first moved to the desert ten years ago, the dryness here is a blessing (for humans if not for the local plant life). And you're right, Baltimore is a good compromise. My backup plan was Rochester - THAT would have been a challenge. 😉

Chooch - I don't recall hearing too much about wireless internet on campus. I may have just forgotten, but I don't think it's an option. Can one of the benevolent second years or Doepug help us out with this one?

Has anybody contacted their Reed Hall roommates? I've chatted with mine a little - one of them went to Hopkins undergrad so it will be nice to have somebody familiar with the area. And for a little name confusion, the housing office put me in with another Matt!

Amiroz - I am totally up for a trip around Baltimore or DC. Hopefully I'll be able to get my car situation taken care of early on.

Nimbus - Well... you don't really need the extended warranty, but the thing with laptops is that if you move them around a lot they break down more easily, since they have moving parts. I guess it really depends on how badly you abuse your laptop. But yeah if you can afford it IBMs are amazing laptops. They seem to last forever. Also if you get the extended warranty and your laptop happens to break down 2 or so years down the road, they usually send you a new one if its something they can't repair, which generally means a free upgrade. 😀

Rapid - I've talked to my roommate a little... Isn't that right Nimbus? Actually I just looked at my roommate list again today and it turns out one of them is someone I hung out with during my interview... he kicked my butt at pool. So that should be cool.

After going to school in New Orleans anything less than 100% humidity is nothing 😉

I was wondering does anyone play squash? I've played a little racquetball so I'm not throwing up my bid for the absolute worst, but I kind of like playing squash more. Or maybe I'll play ping pong. Theres a little less running in that.

Hey guys,
to answer the wireless question, I think that Reed Hall is wireless, but I don't think that the rest of campus has become wireless yet. HOWEVER, I would strongly suggest getting a wireless card anyways. If you happen to go to the undergraduate library to study (which is much better than the medical library that closes too early), the entire library is wireless, so it's really convenient. PLUS, I'm sure you guys know that all of your lectures will be videotaped and online, right? So it would definitely be wise if you have a laptop to take it with you to study and listen to lectures on it (for the second time, of course 😉 )

The rooms in Reed are decently sized. Like someone said, the furniture isn't the greatest since it's about 30 years old, but the suite-style rooms are definitely better than the single rooms for sure. I would guess that the size of the rooms are about 10 x 13 feet. If you have a "4" room, i.e. 10-D-4, you've got the biggest of the 4 rooms, which i had last year.

If you guys have any other questions, send them over to [email protected] !!

Nylee's right... the wireless card is a good investment.

I'm pretty sure that the PCTB (where you'll spend your first 2 years) is also wireless... including the lecture halls and cafeteria. I know that the School of Public Health (across the street, has great places to study and good food) is totally wireless.

Don't miss out on the orientation weekend! It's a great opportunity to meet your classmates and their spouses.

-doepug

you guys should listen to Doepug! He's the very wise MSIV among us. Don't miss the orientation...last year, it was extremely FUN...and you do get to meet a lot of people. I think people in my class that missed it did regret not going. I remember last year, during after-program-hours, a big group of us played MAFIA until early morning...

it was an interesting bonding experience!

see ya'll soon!

Rapid- Thanks for keeping tabs on me. Yes, I did disappear for a while. Like VW, I too have been moving across the country (which is very large, by the way) for the last couple of weeks. We went to Cedar Point though, which was very cool.

Now we are happily moved in here in Baltimore. The humidity has not been too bad these last few days. So anyone can PM me for contact info as well.

Artisan- I have played sqaush before and I'd do it again. The weird little ball doesn't bounce though, but it is fun. And Ping Pong eh? I'll play that too. I sacrificed my freshman year of college to the table tennis gods. (I'm not that good though).
A DC trip would be awesome, too.

I'm happy that we've got this SDN-Raquetball thing going strong.

See you all here in Baltimore.

Hey folx

10 days, not a single post. Everybody getting ready for a change of changes, finalizing their finalizations to get moving on the moving huh?

Well The closer we get , the slower time seems to be passing ya know? SOmebody press FFWD please!

miroz

I don't know, miroz ... I'm excited to get started, but this is the first time in a long time I've had a summer break. I'm not quite ready to give it up, so it feels like it's going pretty quickly to me ...

Anyone in town yet besides Phaedrus?

Yeah, I've been running around doing all kinds of random stuff. I can't believe we'll be at school in a little over a week! I have to make the best of these last few days, summer is coming to a close. 🙁 I guess I have to start thinking about moving though....ehh, I have another week to do that. 😀

Whoa, it feels like such a long time since I posted on this thread!

I figured everybody was basically in the final stages of getting ready for school. I know what you mean Amiroz...tomorrow is my last day at work, Wednesday I'm packing my Corolla as absolutely full as it can get, and Thursday I begin my four-and-a-half day exodus through the country, hopefully passing some halfway interesting stuff on the way. Shooting for an Aug. 25th arrival date.

So, it really is coming up fast, but I still have so much to do before orientation.

But I sure am ready to start school. I hate having nothing to do!!! 😛

Chooch, have you checked into Reed then?

Have a safe trip, RD!

Everyone, feel free to PM me for contact info. 😀

Thanks, VW!

This is my final post from the desert. I'm leaving tomorrow morning to join you all.

See you in Baltimore!
