Yes of course! I am also considering Iowa which is also pricier (Mizzou is the most financially stable option) but I am personally looking to specialize in the future and I want to weigh out the pros and cons of the curriculums at each school. I know vet school isn't important when it comes down to applying for internship etc. but I want to get the most hands-on experience that I can. For me, one-on-one interaction with professors with extra learning/help on the side really helps me succeed also so that is super important to me. Also, I will be moving on my own so things like safety and environment is something I really value also.
I know everyone says choose the cheaper school- its the same education. Personally, I want to go to a school that is right for me in terms of education- which school will help me gain the most out of the money, time, and effort I put in. Plus, if I end up applying for internship right out of vet school making connections with attendings in specific rotations can really help strengthen my application as well. Basically, I'm trying to find the right program that will help me succeed the way it works for me especially since grades and GPA are super important if I do decide to continue my education.
