Anyone know how applying to med school after the MS works??? For example, I assume we would be getting letters of rec from the MS program and not undergraduate. Anyone know more regarding this??? TIA
If you plan on applying after your first year, then you would need to have your application in by that Dec 1 deadline. So it would be best to have undergraduate lor already done. So you aren't depending on the professors in the program since your first term ends in November. They will want to see your final grades for that fall term before writing the letter. If you plan on applying during the second year, you will have plenty of time to get them from the professors. Just reach out to them. They know you need them and it's not a big deal. For medical applications, you would still need to do everything ( send transcripts to AMMC or AACOMAS, write a personal statements, etc). The aim is always to try to submit your primary app as soon as you can so May, June, and July. If you have to take MCAT during the program, a lot of people take it in the summer but some people take it in the fall.

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted! Is there a Facebook group for Philly?

Hey guys I applied A few weeks ago but I just now fulfilled the LOR requirement from a public health advisor, is that ok or am I late

The link to pay the $250 deposit. The link isn’t working for me. It’s at the top of the portal page.
Hahaha and where is the portal page again? I can't see it in the acceptance package

Ok so all I had to do was use another browser to get the payment link to work. :smack:

Anyone have any idea how many spots might still be open at georgia campus?

If anyone is looking for an apartment for PCOM GA let me know 🙂. I live in the Cortland Duluth apartment complex. It's super nice and you'll have a female second-year biomed student roommate. It's perfect since you won't have to worry about activation fees etc. It's a 2/2. I'm moving away for med school, so I'm looking for a replacement. Message me for more info and pics 🙂

Has anyone that's been accepted heard anything about when orientation is (GA campus) or has anyone been able to access anything other than just basic info on the "mypcom" account? Also wondering how the financial aid packages work and if they're sent in the mail or the notice shows up on mypcom.

orientation information has been updated on mypcom portal.
I got my financial aid reward info and notification by email then it directed me to the financial aid site on my PCOM.

Is there a Philly FB page looking for a roommate

Hey guys, so just so I understand this correctly. In order to secure my seat, I just submitted my $250 deposit online. Do I also have to send out the forms that came with my letter stating that I am attending the program? Or is that only when I am sure that I am attending. I am still waiting to hear back from other schools.

Is the PCOM profile you see the orientation info on the same one where we viewed our application materials and found the link to pay the deposit?

Where do we get the login information for mypcom?

For some reason the myPCOM website isn't loading properly on my laptop versus on my phone. For example, I'm able to view my financial aide checklist on my phone but not my computer.

To access your email just to go gmail and add an account using the info they emailed out.

Are you guys already doing the grad plus loan application? Or are you waiting for your FAFSA to be processed?

I noticed this too! I have been trying to view my financial aid checklist and other things for a long time and realized that the "mypcom" website on my phone is the only one that shows it...

I only just submitted my deposit and papers today, so does the login information come after that or was it in an earlier email?

after you pay your deposit the admissions office will send you two emails, one with your myPCOM login and another that gives you info on financial aide. It will take a few days.

I don’t think we can apply for gradplus until April 15t

oh ok. I started the app but I haven't finished it. I was just wondering if it were better to wait until we see how much aide we'll get from fafsa first. I think the max is 20,500/year however I don't know if that is guaranteed. This is my first time dealing with student loans, I didn't use them for undergrad.

I’m pretty sure fafsa gives everyone the max 20,500 regardless of financial need. So whatever else after the 20,500 you need, apply for that in gradplus
