Ugh I'm so sorry, that sucks. Do you think you will email and see if there is any possible way to reschedule? They can't expect everyone to be free that day.

You should absolutely email and see if they can change it!!

OOS Interview Invite!! They gave me the date 2/14, @indysadventures it looks like there are different interview days! You definitely should try asking them to reschedule ᵕ̈

Thanks friends! ❤️🥹 I appreciate you having my back. I emailed them and more or less it’s “we’ll see what we can do.” Apparently all spots are allocated across all days.

While it sucks, if it doesn’t work out I’m at least happy my space can go to someone else! Will report back.

Honestly yeah. Last year I only saw 2 or 3 people taken off the waitlist. And I only saw one after getting an interview get accepted.

Hello, everyone! Congratulations to each of you for making it this far in the application process—it’s no small feat! Whether you’ve received an interview invite, been waitlisted, or didn't get an interview at Penn but got an interview elsewhere, you should be incredibly proud of your accomplishments. For those interviewing at Penn, that’s an amazing achievement, and I’m excited for what’s ahead for you!

As a first-year student at Penn, I wanted to share a few tips that I wish I had known before my interview to help you feel more prepared:

1. Preparation is Key: You’ll receive your interview question before the interview, so use that time to research and develop multiple points. Having a variety of perspectives ready will help you contribute meaningfully to the group discussion.
2. Collaboration Matters: The interview isn’t just about your individual responses but also about how well you work with others. Avoid dominating the conversation—instead, focus on building a collaborative and respectful dialogue. Group work is a big part of life at Penn, so they’re looking for team players.
3. Interview Format: Typically, the interviewers will be off-camera until the final 10 minutes when your group presents its argument. The last 5 minutes is a one-on-one, where you can discuss anything you’d like. Use this time to showcase anything you want whether that be something you didn't get to say in response to the argument or a cool experience you did!

No, but as someone said earlier, don't hold your breath 😢 I was on the interview waitlist last year and only one person in the forum mentioned getting off the waitlist. I don't think it'll move very much if at all, especially for IS.

I am not interviewing until 2/7, but from the interview offer e-mail I got the impression that everything (time, Zoom link, topic) would be sent out on Wednesday the week of the interview.
