Here goes my diatribe. It's easy to label ideas that you don't agree with as conspiracy theories. Just because something sounds outlandish or improbable doesn't mean its false. The passage of time usually paints a different picture and what was once considered unrealistic becomes reality. Here are a few poignant examples of historical events that as they were unfolding, people considered them hearsay and conspiracies :
1) Before the WW2 began, many people around the world (including Jews) thought of Hitler as a ranting fanatic who simply evoked Antisemitism to win over the German people and become Chancellor. Even as persecution of Jews continued, the world largely remained silent or stated that Hitler's policies would change over time, just give in to his demands. Although well into the war, as rumors of concentration camps were slipping out, most people chose not to believe it. IT WAS CONSIDERED OUTLANDISH and LUDICROUS that the German nation, a nation so cultured and modern, could execute such heinous crimes as gassing individuals. But history has told us a different story.
2) The Tuskegee Syphilis Study that spanned from 1932-1972 was a heinous and unethical event that at the time was not widely known and would have been considered as a conspiracy by many people at the time, especially whites.
These are just a few examples, a good student of history can comb through numerous "conspiracy theories" that have turned out to be true. Your understanding of reality has much to do with perception of the world as much as facts. So the idea that there exists a global cabal of individuals that have set into motion a series of events to plunge the world into economic destitution through the pretext of a global pandemic can be troubling for some to believe. That's fine, history will teach you otherwise. Just sit back and watch everything unfold.
Those who deride alternative perspectives on this pandemic have a vested interest in the status quo and sit in ivory towers proclaiming social distancing and flattening the curve. At the present time they are not suffering the immediate effects of what they preach unlike the hundreds of millions around the world. But they will feels the pangs of this pandemic as it unfolds. Everything that they once held dear will wither away because they willfully ignored what was in front of them. Feel free to label me as a communist even though I am not but I will quote Marx who said: "The bourgeoisie has stripped of its halo every occupation hitherto honored and looked up to with reverent awe. It has converted the physician, the lawyer, the priest, the poet, the man of science, into its paid wage laborers." You hold fancy degrees but lack common sensibility when those in power act with total impunity to take away your freedom and economic independence.
The following you will not comprehend, not because of intellect but because of spiritual blindness, so I will end this by quoting St. Paul:
"For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way."
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."
Christ said: "As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.....And they were oblivious, until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.…
