Hello,

I noticed there wasn't any discussion about phage therapy regarding antibiotic resistant bacteria on SDN. I wanted to know what physicians and health experts here in the U.S. think about this matter (that doctors I've spoken to seem to be on the fringe about.)

Thanks

SDN is not for medical advice, and I think this counts as such.

I disagree, he's just asking about re: antibiotic resistance. Maybe its not fit for pre-allo, but I don't think this can be construed as asking for medical advice.

With all due respect doctor, I'm not seeking medical advice. You can be as vague as you'd like to. I'm just wondering about the current efficacy of bacteriophage therapy, any hypothetical problems and the future with regards to the surge in antibiotic-resistant bacteria related deaths. As you know, the FDA hasn't approved any treatment using phage therapy and so far it's all experimental.
