Its not bad.
It;s pretty simple. It asks you about criminal background, if you attended PCOM before, any relationship with people that attended the school before, etc.

Then it has this one and only question:

ESSAYS:
Please respond to the following essay topic, limiting your response to 250 words.
Noting the mission and objectives of the Osteopathic profession and PCOM, please describe your personal
characteristics that demonstrate your interest in this field. Include an example of an event in which your
actions directly influenced the life of another person and relate this to your goal of becoming a DO.

Did you save it to your computer first, and then fill out the app from your downloaded/saved file ? because if you just open it online, fill it out, and then save it, most likely it wont save your changes.

I think most of the people who got secondaries yesterday were 6/24'ers (most of which I think were probably "6/14'ers" who had their release date delayed to 6/24 after a few internal errors 😛). Don't read into it too much.

No, it should have been in your application. You don't have to submit it directly as well.

I think your release date is why you haven't received a secondary yet. I was released almost 2 weeks before you and just got my secondary around 8/1. Yours will prob come this week.

Besides the automatic e-mail response after submission, I only received this:

"This is to acknowledge receipt of your supplemental application and $50 application fee to the Osteopathic Medicine program for Fall 2013 at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine on our Georgia Campus....."

and then it gave my login info and such to keep track of things.

Also, I did receive the same e-mail from both campuses. Hope this helps.

Mine do. On the first page of my portal it lists all applications received (so I have 2 dates listed, one for the PA secondary and one for the GA secondary). When I click on each date, I see all the materials received for that application/school.

My LORs were marked received on different dates and times, and my secondary was received at different dates and times even though both the LORs and the supplemental apps were sent on same day, nearly same time to both programs. I have one portal for both applications. Each application has a separate link on the portal.

I went to tour the campus yesterday. They told me that they won't start scheduling interviews until late September/early October. We'll see...

Also, their most current average matriculant stats are 3.4/26. It's a really nice place btw.

Hey guys! I just started my first year here at GA-PCOM and wanted to chime in! They did interview later in the season, so don't freak out yet! A large majority of our class is from AL, GA, TN, FL, NC, but there are student from all over. The school is really nice and its a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. We just took our first test yesterday for the big block of classes (anatomy, physio, radiology, embryo, histo). It was intense! So far I really like the place and don't have many complaints! If anyone has any specific ?s you can PM me and ill try to answer in my free time (what little there is). Good luck yall 🙂

Is there anyone else that plans on taking the January 2013 MCAT test and still plans on applying for this cycle?

I understand that it is very late in the cycle but does anyone know if there is still a decent chance of getting accepted or do only one or two people get accepted if they take the January MCAT?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

It is my understanding that PCOM (and many other schools) have the vast majority of their class filled before you will be complete in Feb. If you were a stellar candidate you might have a shot, but understand it will be hard.
