I need some feedback on my DAT score and how my chances are at getting in. Im only applying to UNLV (my state school) because I really want to go to that one. Im really happy with my personal statement, I also feel like I will get good LOR. This is the new scoring AA:390 (18) QR:370 RC:380 PAT:400 BIO:390 OC:430 GC:390 TS:410 GPA 3.4 EC: full time certified dental assistant, deans list, club cofounder, personal trainer, youth class helper, farm volunteer (200hrs) Shadow: 150 hours.

It also helps to know what your dental experience is. Have you been connecting with UNLV directly with recruitment events and talking with students/faculty? Getting an offer doesn't rely on plugging in numbers into a formula.

I went to UNLV. I don't know if a 18 AA is going to be enough to get you in, especially with those stats. When I got in (in 2018), I didn't know anybody with lower than a 20. I had the highest with a 24. That said, you are in state so it'll be easier for you than the out of state kids

I went to UNLV. I don't know if a 18 AA is going to be enough to get you in, especially with those stats. When I got in (in 2018), I didn't know anybody with lower than a 20. I had the highest with a 24. That said, you are in state so it'll be easier for you than the out of state kids

You could look at the new schools, but I can't say you're a shoo-in without you doing more to articulate mission fit.

Admissions havent told me anything. I want to go to unlv because I want to continue to serve in my hometown, the place where I got a sense if purpose. Also, UNLV has a lot of residency programs which I am also looking at.

Are they doing the Dental Sim Course for predental applicants? I haven't seen anything recently.

Would you consider a SMP (if your science GPA is low) to be a stronger candidate?
