I love bamboo sheets...unfortunately hubby HATES them. 😡 Almost makes me want my own bed.
I stopped at Petland today looking for a small animal hay manger with a solid back (so there's less mess). Instead I found a plastic feeder that prevents the hay from getting all over the place and has a trough for pelleted feed. 🙂
My rabbit is messy and loves spilling her food, despite it being in a heavy crock. The feeder hooks to the cage too, so she can chew on it and push it all she wants but is unable to actually flip it over. I'm sure she'll try every day in futility though.

Get two twins on a king frame. You'd still have to share a top sheet, but yanno.
(Does everyone here use top sheets? I'm always grossed out when someone doesn't. I dunno.)
Same here! Top and bottom sheets are meant to keep the sweat off the blankets! If I washed my blankets once a week, there wouldn't be anything left of them!
I kick them off in my sleep, so instead I just have washable covers on my comforter.
I'm curious what this looks like. My guinea pig seems to do the same thing as your rabbit ... can you send me a picture or find it online?? 🙂
My husband will absolutely not sleep under the top sheet. It ends up all bunched down at the bottom of our bed after one night of sleeping. Drives me nuts!! So we have washable covers for our comfortable, like Minnerbelle.
We recently got "jersey" sheets and they are amaaaazing.
Going to get my iPad today (finally!). I was given money for it for Christmas but work and sickness and travel got in the way of actually going to the Apple store.
I have a cheap fake down blanket that acts as a comforter, because I don't want to ruin the nice comforter that's too pretty to cover up so that sits in the closet
I wash the blanket every time I wash sheets. Cant sleep if my feet are tangled up. It just doesn't work. So the top sheet ends up disappearing into a corner of the bed or onto the floor, where the doggies think it makes a great bed.

A *warm and fuzzy* rave today! Yesterday, I was contacted as part of the national breed club about a dog in Georgia that was going to be put to sleep THIS MORNING. Animal control thought he might be our breed. Indeed, he was. I was planning on driving from Florida to pick him up and short-term foster until he could find a forever family. Well, we found someone this morning who wants him! A club member from S. Carolina will be transporting him north. He's got some serious derm issues (allergies +/- mange) and needs to be neutered, but I'm so thrilled he's found a home. He will be picked up tomorrow and hopefully sleep inside on a real dog bed by tomorrow night. I love it when people come together for dogs in need!
Today I signed up with a PT at the gym. I've been wanting to do this for months and I'm so glad that 1) I finally got around to it and 2) I finally have time in my schedule to start a routine vs 1 day free this week, another day free the next week, no days free the week after that.

Neighbor can watch my dog, so made hotel reservations for semester break! Can't wait to see my fiance in ~3 weeks 
I've done some of my genetics homework, eaten pizza, and am currently enjoying the fact that I get West and East coast channels from Directv since I live in the middle of both. This way I can watch the Flyers and still catch primetime shows 👍😍

Just want to say for my pigs I did try a hay bin that was similar, but wood in case they chewed on it. However, I was ALWAYS refilling it. I switched to putting hay in the corner litter pans, since they don't really use them for their intended purpose anyway. It works well and I can give them pretty much all the hay they can eat in a day or two at once.
I am loving the New Orleans cookbook I got for Christmas! It's full of recipes from the Times Picayune that people wrote in for after Katrina, so each recipe has a little story about it. I made Chocolate Chewies the day after I got back to school (they consist mostly of powdered sugar and they are yummy), and I'm making jambalaya tonight.
A state bill that would allow for breed specific legislation was killed before even being heard in committee!

And then I had a pajama party movie night and watched How to Train Your Dragon with my housemates. It's gonna be a good semester. 😀
Got up early to run (saw orcagirl walking her pups!) and now I'm officially halfway done with Couch to 5K! 😀

Ivy got released from the guide dog program because she was so nervous around strangers and not happy at all about being around lots f people constantly. Since they want their working dogs to be happy while doing their job, it was decided that she would quit and be a pet instead. And I get to keep her! I'm a bit disappointed because I really hoped she would help someone eventually and because I feel like I wasn't good enough, but I do love that I will have her for the rest of her life now. 🙂
And because she does love working (just not the people), we are trying out agility soon to see if she likes that and to wear her out a little bit. Haha I've always wanted to try it, she likes to jump around when playing, so why not?
Her last day on campus yesterday. It was very cold so I gave her my jacket because I forgot hers and she was shaking like crazy.
And here in her new castle. Including shipping, it only cost $66 and I couldn't turn that down. It's huge and she loves it.
And just for fun, this is her last week.
I think she'll be much happier being able to stay at home, have lots of toys and not having to meet new people all the time. 🙂

I've had such an awesome birthday so far...Got pretzel M&Ms from one friend, hot chocolate and two donuts from another, flowers from my SO and am going out to sushi for dinner tonight 😀

I was in Fleet Farm today to buy an exercise round pen, and saw the two largest crates were around that price, also. Yay!
My Rave: My puppy is sooo smart and is catching on very fast! 😍 Got her Monday afternoon and she is already starting to really understand potty training. I had to be gone today for about 5 hours(was suppose to be only 3, got detained) and didn't have the round pen yet, so she was in her crate. She didn't piddle in it. 😀 And calmly waited for me to come get her when I got home.
And just now, she came over to me, looked at me and then went and sat by the door to go potty outside.
She's gone pee in the house twice because I wasn't paying attention, but both times were on the puppy pee pad. And every time we come back in the house after pottying, I say 'sit' and she sits and waits for her treat.( If I don't say sit, she doesn't sit automatically.)
And she's only 9 weeks old.
I think she's going to be a fairly easy puppy. 😀

No classes at all for us. 😀 Although being stuck at home all day, and the need to reschedule the lab that got cancelled is not so much of a good thing. But at least I don't have to risk life and limb getting to campus.

He's doing really well. Full of spunk and wiggle. 😛 Poor kid is so ready to crawl he can hardly contain himself, but he just hasn't figured out his legs, so he scoots backwards everywhere.

Good job! A hint though....she will catch it even faster if you give the treat right after pottying outside. Otherwise, all she knows is that she got a treat for coming in and sitting.

My dog Jenny finished her title in Beginning Novice Obedience today!!!
It's very exciting because she can do everything so well at home or even in a public park, but she gets incredibly distracted at shows. But she did everything she needed to yesterday and today to get her last two legs! And they gave me a very very pretty rosette. Priorities, right?

Yeah I thought Jenny would never get to do obedience because of the stand for exam (sit in Beginning Novice) because she is SO skitzy around strangers. But I practiced it with a bunch of different people and she was flawless. I was so proud. That's such a huge hurdle for her.
What do they do for those exams?
