I also got a call from Dr.DeYoung about 10 mins ago. Sooooooo excited!! See you all who got accepted in fall and wish good news to all waiting for a call.

I just got me acceptance call from Dr DeYoung! I am actually at work so it was a vm but I'm in baby!!!! Very excited-I interviewed on 2/12!! 🙂

Congrats!! I interviewed 2/12 and also just got the acceptance call! Looks like we'll be classmates! 🙂

Congrats! I got a call as well! 2/12 interview.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for apartment complexes around the Henderson campus that i should look at? I was also wondering if the program had any compounding and lab type work? I was told during the interview there was only one lab and it was pretty small.

I don't think their is a Facebook page but i could be wrong.

Thank you

What day did you have your interview?

Congrats to those who recently got accepted!

I interviewed on the 02/12 date and received a phone call acceptance today also!

I was curious as to how many interview dates Roseman is planning on conducting? I interviewed Jan 24th, and I know I could have done better with the interview :/. The waiting game is killing me!

Bummer.. It sounds like everyone that got in from the 2/12 interview date were called today and I was not included on that list. Hopefully I'm fairly high on the waitlist.

Congrats to everyone accepted today! Sounds like all of you are Henderson campus? Either only a few have been invited to the Utah campus or the people accepted don't post in these forums...

The wait is difficult. I too am waiting for the glorious call. Wonder how many spots are left.

I was actually under the impression that when you receive the call, you're given the option to choose which campus you prefer. Typically the Henderson campus fills up first. After that, you're told you get into the Utah campus. Then again, I could be wrong.

Yes, you chose during the phone call based on what you selected on your secondary. I selected Henderson and was told that there were "plenty of spots available".

Do we have a Facebook page yet for Class of 2016? 😀 I'm so excited!

Dr. Deyoung is still making acceptance calls this morning! I got mine about an hour ago. I interviewed 2/12. Dr. Deyoung also told me that there were plenty of seats left in both campuses so you still get to pick which campus you'd like to attend.

Hi all! Congrats to all of those accepted. I just joined the forum today. I have an interview March 12 at the Henderson Campus. I have been reading this forum and really appreciate everyone who has posted on it. Can some of you that just recently got accepted post your stats? I am just curious if I have much of a chance. I am sooo excited and nervous for my interview. Does anyone have any suggestions or things they wish they would have done differently on interview day? What did you all wear? Lol..sorry for all of the questions.😳

Welcome!

The interview day is pretty relaxed, so just be yourself.

My stats: cumulative gpa: 2.97, grad gpa: 3.5, PCAT 87. Approx 3 or 4 years working as a pharm tech, then 7 years working in clinical research of different types.

Enjoy your day, and good luck!

Got the call yesterday-interviewed 2/12
GPA 3.7
BS-Biology
PCAT 66%
Experience 10+ yrs as Certified Tech (15000hrs +)

Prep some basic talking points for your interview! Roseman U's website lists what they're interested in and the questions didn't stray far from those topics.

IMO, don't worry about stats - stats only got you this far & comparisons may make you less or over-confident. Just nail the interview 👍

EDIT: Ok, stats still matter and are factored into your overall score, but my main point was that a great interview should get you that acceptance call regardless 🙂

I was shocked when I got the acceptance call so quickly after the interview. I honestly started wondering if I had dreamt it until I received a verification email. I really was uncomfortable on a couple of my answers to the questions in the interview. I wasn't nervous at all on interview day until I sat down and then I just kind of blanked on the first question haha. I definitely could have answered a couple of the questions faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar better then I did. I started to loosen up and became more comfortable and had a good time and some good laughs.

Yes, your stats matter and are a factor, but don't let that create more pressure. Once you get to the interview just live in the moment and know that they invited you because they're interested to see who you are as a person and that all of your previous grades, scores, ec's were good enough, so just be yourself and try to relax. Most if not all interviewers are very nice and try to make you feel comfortable.

Dr. DeYoung said that you can wear business casual. I'm not sure of your gender, but it looked like most of the men on my interview day wore a suit.

Thank you! I did call him back first thing yesterday am. NV campus is where I'm at🙂

Congrats! I hope the NV campus doesn't fill up by the time I hear back.

Does anyone know when Roseman U is done conducting interviews? I really want to know if I have a chance at being admitted.

You will want to make a separate one for NV and UT. Since events are different and tests are different. You can join both but is easier to have one page for Campus Specific Questions

I had considered that but I wasn't sure if there was a real interest in a separate UT group. If somebody wants to create that group then I don't mind making the current group Nevada-specific. 👍

The interview is pretty laid back. Dress was business casual. If you're on the fence I'd err on the side of too dressed up. Seemed like most people were in suits. I was super nervous but once I sat down and started talking my interviewer was really nice and I relaxed right away. I prepared for some pretty crazy interview questions but it was all pretty straight forward. Like someone else said, the things they say they're looking for on the website are pretty much the things they stick to. My stats: BS in Biology. GPA 3.3 PCAT 84.

Good luck! 🙂

Thank you to everyone that has replied to my post. I appreciate everybody's input. I am anxious to get the interview done and hopefully will get to see some of you at one of the campuses if I get accepted. Good luck to all who are waiting and those yet to interview!

I submitted my application in October and just got an invitation for an interview on March 26! I'm so excited because this is my first school choice and the only school I want to go to. If I don't get in I will for sure reapply again next year to this exact same school. You have no idea how hard I worked to finish my prerequisites for pharmacy school. I live in California so getting into classes is tough. I had to petition for 5 years straight until I was able to get into the anatomy and microbiology courses that I am taking right now. I don't know what my chances are of getting into this school, but I really hope I will make it. Unlike the usual people who have degrees in biology, chemistry, or biochemistry I have a bachelors degree in business administration. I just got my pharmacy technician license too because I really want to pursue pharmacy and increase my chances of getting into the school. I still need to find a volunteer job as a pharmacy technician as well so I'm still in that process. My dream goal is to open up my own pharmacy one day 🙂 Is anyone else having the same interview date as me?

i also majored in business admin. (almost 9 yrs ago) and took all prerequisite classes in California community college. As long as you show confidence to prove you are a good candidate during the interview you will be fine. i am not a pharm tech. but was accepted.

Hi all! I just joined SDN. I sent my applications in on the day of the deadline and finally got an interview. I picked Nevada on March 12.. anyone else interviewing on that day? Also, for those that already interviewed at Roseman was there a writing sample on interview day??? I'm sooo nervous and excited at the same time. Congratulations to all of you that were already accepted!

Hello SDN! I interviewed at Roseman on 2/26 and found the overall experience to be overwhelmingly positive. The student tour was informative and the building was clean and spacious. There is no cafeteria, but driving down Sunset Rd, there are plenty of places to eat. I was so nervous for the interview, but the process was painless. They make an effort to make you comfortable and really want to see who you naturally are. I dressed in business casual (dress pants, jacket, shirt, no tie), but felt slightly under-dressed. The men were dressed tip-top in business suits. The women looked amazing in their suits and dresses. The attitude and atmosphere in the school is beyond friendly and oriented towards building lasting friendships and connections through teamwork. Basically, it was love at first sight and I hope to get admitted to join the Roseman family.

I would recommend staying east of the school near sunset rd. Some students, even from the med school, live here: http://www.ventanacanyonapts.com/

If you can find someone though, renting a house with roommates is MUCH cheaper. I live five min away paying $1000 for a 3 bedroom house.

Just wondering if anyone else on the post is interviewing on March 12? I am and feel like it is pretty late in the game. Seems like spaces are filling up and I am nervous about the amount of seats still available. Hopefully us late comers will still have a good chance of getting in.

I have an interview on March 12. I actually sent my application right before deadline, when did you send in your application? I know how you feel though about it being pretty late in the game... I almost gave up hope. I'm excited and nervous. I'm hoping there's still seats for us. Let's stay positive! See you there!

I'm also interviewing march 26th. I hope the las vegas campus isn't filled up because this is the one that I requested. I was hoping someone could give me advice on the interview. Was it mostly laid back
or do they really try to grill you. How is the format. It seems like every school has one student interview and then one alumnus or professor interview. This school is my first choice and I'm wondering if anyone knows if the class is filling up or if there are many spots.

From what I understand the bulk of the invites haven't even gone out yet. They have a point system and hold back inviting a lot of the people until it's clear what point totals are good enough to be accepted. They hold off on this so that people with later interviews have just as fair of a chance of getting accepted as the people who interviewed before the new year.

Scroll up to previous posts about the interviewing.

To those interviewing this month: good luck & definitely read this entire thread (& past Roseman/USN threads). There's plenty of great advice given by post-interview applicants and current students that will help you in your interview.

Hi. Does anyone know how many interview dates are left?

Learn your homonyms, people 🙂

I believe the correct word you are looking for is "heterographs"or "homophones". Homonyms are actually pronounced AND spelled the same but their meanings are different. Heterographs/homophones are pronounced the same but spelled different ~just FYI😉

Corrected by someone superior in grammar!! I bow down humbly to your grammar skills 😳
