I have been accepted to these three schools and was hoping to get some insight about the pros and cons. Right now I am leaning towards RVU Utah.

Just a little background, I am from Utah. Married with two kids. My oldest kid would be 3 when I start school.
RVU Utah is a 6 hour drive from 'home'. But my wife would be able to keep a job based out of Salt Lake that she enjoys (She does trainings about 3 days a month or every other month). She is quite open to moving where ever I decide. She is also a hair stylist so she will try to find a job with that wherever we move to.

I really enjoyed KCU and DMU when I interviewed and feel they are great schools.

I have to make a deposit by Dec. 14 so I thought I would come on here and see what all you SDNers thought. I realize that the school I am leaning to is a new campus. What struggles should I expect if I do choose it? I am told it is already accredited because it is the same curriculum and administration as the Colorado campus.

Thank you to anyone who takes time to respond!

Ask yourself: Who has the least number of preceptor-based rotations?

Thank you for the response! Can I ask why preceptor-based rotations are not as good? I'm not doubting your reasoning, I am just looking for some clarification as I am not so informed about that.

Preceptor based rotations are nothing more than glorified shadowing. They contribute to the poor reputation DO schools have among PDs that DO's are poorly educated. You want to be in a ward where you can actually do things, no merely watch things.

Is there a list of schools that run on Ward rotations?
