I interviewed in early March and I have not heard anything. No acceptance, waitlist or anything. Is this a soft rejection?
What are your stats if you don’t mind me asking? I applied pretty late here but not sure if I have a good chance at getting a late ii with my stats and ECs. 3.5, 506 here.I received an interview invite from them last July...pretty much can hear from them up until first day of classes/orientation
Not the OP of the post you're replying to so I apologize for interjecting myself but I had near identical stats as you, though I can't speak to our respective EC's. Applied in January 2024 and heard nothing until April/May when they sent me the "continued interest" email. Then nothing again. Finally in early July they sent me an ii, a week later I had the interview and a week after that I got the A (I ended up deferring my acceptance to this upcoming summer so I'm still lurking around this thread). I'm not trying to say that my case is typical and that you should be expecting an ii, only that it's not over til it's overWhat are your stats if you don’t mind me asking? Wow this gives me hope. Thank you! I was planning on signing a lease late june for my other acceptance but seeing these old July interviews from DMU are making me consider pushing signing a lease to later. Sorry for delayed response. I was a 500 MCAT with 3.55 GPA. Got the interview invite in late June but already decided elsewhere. Definetely still hope! I filled out the continued interest both times and just waited. I would push back signing the lease!Wow this gives me hope. Thank you! Congrats! Did they tell you you were first quartile on the alternate list, or was this the first you had heard from them since your interview?+1 OOS A

There's currently a facebook page for the Class of 2029, Log into Facebook , under management from students/staffing from DMU.OOS A a while back, thinking I was unofficially WL'ed and they just didn't share that. Is there a GM for the class?
Got a scholarship from them. Was accepted back in September and last month notified of my scholarship by email.Accepted folks, did any of you get a scholarship from DMU? Or do we apply for those right now?
Congratulations. Were you WL Q1 or Q2?OOS A 06/11, off alt list. Interactive 1/23, alt 2/20
Des Moines is still doing interviews in late June. How long did it take to hear if you were accepted or waitlisted ? I have the group interview on 6/27
Do you think its worth it ?? Or am I mostly interviewing to be waitlisted ?Des Moines is still doing interviews in late June.
I would think you are interviewing for their waitlist. They have not gone through their waitlist yet.Do you think its worth it ?? Or am I mostly interviewing to be waitlisted ?

This is reassuring. I decided to just go ahead and do it ! I'll never know if I don't try !If this helps, I know someone who got an interview in June, got put on waitlist, then got off about a week later with an A.
Waitlist can be about 1-2 weeks of wait for an A after a decision has been made, based on what I've seen from other peers who were in the May-June waitlist void.
From incoming student GroupMe, one of the current students posted a general guide of medical supplies to buy. This includes but is not limited to the following:Dumb but real question, do incoming students need to purchase a stethoscope? I haven't heard or read anything about needing any materials other than a computer
Yes, the text comes out first, then you’ll get an email. I think they also will schedule to have someone call you for a 15 min conversation about your onboarding process with DMU or something like that. (I forgot if this was an email or call though)For everyone who got accepted, did the text indicate it was from DMU? I just got a text but I don't know if it's from them 😅
Btw, Is the incoming GroupMe linked in this forum? From incoming student GroupMe, one of the current students posted a general guide of medical supplies to buy. This includes but is not limited to the following:
-Reflex hammer
-Tuning fork
-Opthalmoscope/Otoscope
-Indeed a stethoscope
-Manual bp cuff
-Optional but maybe useful are portable OMM table, gloves for cadavers, safety glasses, and medical supply bag
They recommend that nothing at this point needs to be professional or of the highest quality, just get what fits your budget.
Indeed, it should have been linked a few times but if you can't find it I'm sure one of us can send the link again.Btw, Is the incoming GroupMe linked in this forum?
I sent a letter.for anyone who interviewd on 06/27 did you send a letter of intent

if i remember correctly for the first semester you only really need the stethoscope and the bp cuff, along with goggles, gloves, and scrubs for anatomy. The rest you can buy off of amazon later. I dont recommend buying from the school bc its too expensive. From incoming student GroupMe, one of the current students posted a general guide of medical supplies to buy. I emailed admissions on Monday and they confirmed they are still working through Q1Any WL movement last week or this week?
Wow! I cannot believe they are still on Q1. WL is moving very slow. I thought they would be on Q2 or Q3 by now. Thanks for the update.I emailed admissions on Monday and they confirmed they are still working through Q1

Did they say they were almost done with Q1?I emailed admissions on Monday and they confirmed they are still working through Q1
No, I asked that but they didn’t say how far along they are. I am Q2 and I start at another school on 7/14 so that’s I wanted to know. This is what the whole email said: “Thank you for the email. The admissions committee is still working through the first quartile at this time.”Did they say they were almost done with Q1?
You think these schools would be more open with their information with schools starting in about 1 -2 weeks. They do not care! Sometimes I think they are very unethical with this whole process. No, I asked that but they didn’t say how far along they are.
