Got a text this afternoon confirming my interest post-interview. Interactive 1/31 with no decision yet...unsure what this means

Interactive 3/13. I know the turnaround has been 8-10 weeks. I have another acceptance that I need to respond to you by April 28. Has anyone emailed them for any updates? I didn’t know if it was appropriate to mention that I have the deadline but the last thing I wanna do is force a decision

My interactive was 3/6 and on 4/14 I sent an update to admissions saying I have reached the point in my admissions cycle where I need to make my final decision on where I will be attending school in the fall and admissions had told my group during the interactive to reach out if we had not heard back on a decision depending on one's circumstances. They responded 2 days later and said my file is still with the admissions committee for the final decision and they will pass along my email so the admissions committee is aware of my continued interest and timeline.

Hmm. Have they gotten back to you?

How late DCOM will conduct interviews? In other words when the interviews will end? Appreciate a reply.
I received an interview invite from them last July...pretty much can hear from them up until first day of classes/orientation

I knew people who were offered an interview and accepted in July as well, you still have time! Seems like they go right up to the start date as they fill spots/have openings from people who withdraw late

what does a daily/weekly schedule look like first and second year
First year you have your labs scheduled in the morning and then four 50 minute lectures noon-5 with 10 minute breaks in between.

Second year is basically the same but flipped so lectures are 8am-noon and then your various labs are spaced throughout the week in the afternoon. I personally like the schedule of second year more.

Your daily schedule highly depends on what you decide to do as far as lectures being in person, live on zoom, or recorded and watched later. If you're the type of person that likes to go in person, thats your schedule. If you're the type to watch the lecture later on double speed, that lends itself to being more customizable on what you do when. I will say the number of in-person "lecture goers" has dwindled as we've gone through these last two years, but I’m sure recent board prep has a little to do with that as well 🙂

You just have to keep up with what's required in person. Some things like ethics lectures and labs are required in person, other lectures are required attendance in person or zoom, and then regular lectures you can watch whenever and however you want.

Today marks 9 weeks since the second part of the interview experience where they stated in person *and* followed up with email that a decision would take 4-6 weeks. Still no decision. Every other school I’ve gotten to the point of interviews with has been much more transparent, made me feel wanted, and respected my time more. Not going to avoid DMU if I do get in due to this but definitely don’t feel like my time, effort, or application is respected in the slightest. /rant

Well, couldn't agree more. It's been 15 weeks since I had the interactive day, and I still have not heard anything back.
