Me too! Still waiting to hear back from other schools, but I am super excited about my SGU acceptance!

I'm still waiting to hear back when did you guys get the email?

I got mine yesterday. It probably depends on when you interviewed, and when your interviewer submtitted their summary to the admissions committee.

Has anyone gotten access to their SGU email and portal yet?

At the end of the interview, did the interviewer tell you how long the decision process would take? I see that many of you got a letter after 3 weeks or so but my interviewer told me it would take a couple months D: I don't think I did too well...

My interviewer told me it could take a few months, and the "final determination" email I got after she submitted her feedback said 12 weeks. It actually only ended up taking 3 weeks, which might have been faster since I submitted and interviewed before the VMCAS deadline so there was probably less applications to process? Not sure if it will still be as quick at this point.

Why don't you think you did well? I felt the same way, and I was still accepted, so you might be overthinking things 🙂

You received an email after your interview? I didn’t receive one

Yes, it was the "final determination" email which basically said that my interviewer had submitted their summary of our interview, and the admissions committee was reviewing it.

Great about how long after you interviewed did you receive that? I'm so nervous and excited haha. I accidentally forgot to email them and let them know when my interview was. I sent that email after I had interviewed.

I got mine later the same day that I interviewed, but I imagine it depends on how fast your interviewer is at submitting their information.

Had my interview 09/22/21. When did you guys interview? Wondering how long it will take to hear the news. Congratulations as well.

I got accepted into the FTV program so the pre-semester before veterinary school program. I'm kind of nervous as I planned to move there with my family and dogs, so if I didn't pass it would be devasting. Maybe just my anxiety but does anyone know a lot about the program?

Brittney Kilgore on youtube went through the ftv program and has a good video about it

I think you should always follow your dreams and congratulations. If we let fear take over we will never progress. I still haven’t heard back and see you interviewed two days after me but when did you receive your final determination email?

Congrats on the acceptance! I was accepted to the FTV program as well, and watched some of the videos by Brittany after the acceptance. Don’t let the stress and anxiety get you down. And if you applied to other schools, don’t feel rushed to commit!

Just got an interview how do I prepare? What were somethings looked for during the interview? Did you have a in person interview?

Congrats! Honestly my interview was extremely relaxed with an alumni (she was actually on her lunch break). I’d say it was the most conversational interview I’ve had. No mention of grades, it was very focused on my experiences and what I wanted to do in vet med and why vet med. My interviewer was very laid back and was actually from one of the states near me so it was great to get a close perspective on what the move was like!!

I had my interview on 9/23 but I'm still waiting to hear back. What day did you get the email?

Don’t focus too much on when you interviewed! It’s random from what I can because someone who interviewed a week after me got a decision before me

I definitely rambled too much and had a hard time answering some questions. I feel like I could have been more prepared ): nonetheless, I did try my best and remained professional and honest! Maybe youre right, I may just be overthinking things. Thanks for your reply!

Don't feel bad its been 6 weeks for me and I haven't heard anything yet
I think when I was waiting to hear someone said it depends where in the cycle you fall because they review them every so many weeks

Congratulations too! Yes I do feel better after learning about the program. It would just be all in if I move there with my family. Yes I’m waiting on my in state school to weigh my options.

I got the acceptance the second week of October so it happened quickly. My interviewer submitted my information immediately too. So that might be the reason I heard back sooner.

Hey everyone! Congrats on your acceptances, I was accepted into their Foundations to vet med program!
Same! Got accepted a week after my interview. 😀

Submitted my app on 8/15, had an interview 8/21, got accepted 9/10. They told me they would it would take up to 12 weeks, but took barely 3. I'm super excited, but I'm still waiting on other schools.

I was accepted a little over a month ago and today received an email about creating my student account/setting up my student email even though I have yet to accept my seat. Anyone else?
Should I wait until I accept my offer to make the account or set it up now?

I just got that email too. To my understanding we ad to wait to accept in order for them to give us an email address but I was able to reset the password, log in and view the financial aid page and everything. No idea how to get to the actual email inbox though. Maybe only certain features are available.

If you go to sgu.edu and click “University Portal” under the my account tab then log in with the account you made then it’ll take you to the home portal where if you scroll down you have acess to the outlook and other things. I didn’t accept yet I just wanted to check it out

Anyone else waiting to hear back after their interview? I still haven’t heard back and when I reached out asking my status they just confirmed it could take up to 12 weeks.

I think a little while ago some of us came to the conclusion that how long you wait depends on where in the cycle you fall - like the committee meets every so many weeks so it depends where in that you fall. Plus, they may be having more to review now than they did a few months ago with people who submitted earlier.

I'm 1st time OOS for SGU, 2nd app cycle and non-traditional. I interviewed back in October and still waiting to hear something. Hopefully it'll be soon!
