Reactions to the revelation about SnSs true allegiance were tentatively hopeful; the general feeling was that even if she wasnt a clear-cut criminal, it was better to be rid of her than a true Yarder. Many were hopeful for a quiet night, and for most of the officers, it was. An officer looked through a window and saw someone walking purposefully, carrying a gun. The strange fog appeared again, as it had every night so far.
That is, it was a quiet night until an explosion shook the estate. As soon as they realized what had happened, everyone ran for the Front Lawn. TW stopped abruptly at the edge of a small crater, not sure she could believe her eyes. Several officers had to turn away, and nohika had to fight down the urge to throw up. Bits of... someone... were scattered all around the crater. Who--who was it? asked SOV, once he thought he could speak normally.
Head Officer Sheeps did a quick head count and came up with an unpleasant result: both wldlfstdnt and HOH were missing. After a short search, they found wldlfstdnts body hidden in some bushes near the Garage. From what the officers could piece together, in the confusion following the explosion, someone had shot wldlfstdnt inexpertly several times in the back before managing to kill her. And when ksmi found the charred remains of a watch at the edge of the crater, it confirmed that the body pieces belonged to HOH. No one else at the Yard wore one with such a distinctive pattern on the band.
