Should I send an email to schools to update them on my volunteer experiences?

Hello everyone!

As I continue through this grueling medical school application process I ran into a little conflict. I just recently became a volunteer for New York Cares, a non-profit organization that allows you to sign up for multiple events in the cities and contribute to serving those in the undeserved areas. I have signed up for multiple events for the rest of the year. Also, I will be volunteering for another organization and assisting the visually impaired with activities such as learning, reading, arts & crafts, and shopping.

I was wondering if I should email the schools that I have already submitted a secondary application to in order to update them on my planned activities? Or should I just wait until I actually start volunteering and update my AACOMAS application? Also, for schools that required a resume/CV, should I resubmit it?

Thank you!
