A) more thank 2 sentences I quoted. B) I know you haven't played games recently where hydras have been super common and I've only played one game with you I think. So reasons I'm noting and not acting.

regarding DVMD's vote for the hydra, I'll say that I usually use her logic on that, in that I find analyzing hydras too problematic, but in this case I would let Kara guide the total noob (RL's first game ever) for at least a day.

When I wolf, I maintain what seems to me 🙄 a subtle relationship with noobs: I call for their slaughter or I call to keep them, depending on what I need more, easy mis-lynch or the chaos distraction factor from their survival. It's hard to go wrong with using noobs this way.

When I am not a wolf, I tend to err on the side of not lynching them to a stupid degree. I like to wait until I feel like I have a legit reason to vote them since I don't want to ruin their game over typical noob mistakes, or give the wolves easy distraction and mislynch. Perhaps I believe that noob wolves are less of an overall threat, and that they will make a mistake that makes them relatively easy to finger as we play.

This is all my way of saying don't lynch the noobs just on principle or a throwaway vote. I find it sketchy.

Not saying that DVMD's vote was with the knowledge that RL is a noob, perhaps not. Still catches my eye, though. Villagers and wolves alike have reason to want to be rid of hydras fast. So that part is null tell. Going for the noob, tingles. Unless she didn't know, or maybe that's part of her reasoning.

As much as I say don't go after noobs for pure noobiness, I don't know that SAR going for BJ is really a noob thing on SAR's part. It strikes me more wolfy in this case. I could elaborate, but for now:

Mel already pointed out SAR isn't a noob-reason I quoted this one, but I don't like how you say how you act village vs how you act when wolf but you do that every game so meh. Just a personal issue.

EXCEPT that DVMD isn't out of her meta here. And SAR's explanation was also over-explaining. So why not call it out MA? So either you're making a good point about Time will tell it seems.

Only played with DVMD like once. I always strike you as wolf right off the bat... So what's new?

As far as SAR she seems like her play from last game so no flags there yet

Where were the more than two sentences? She had an additional post explaining her reasoning, but that was in response to AM's question.

Why is the popcorn wolfy? Fights like that usually end badly for the village when they're in the last hour before close, and I'd find egging it on then to be suspicious. As it is, we're still early enough in the day to have time to sort through the information a conflict provides, so it's not a bad thing to have one.

I quoted both because together was kinda pingy so a total of 4 if we're gonna be super technical about it. Like I said I only have played once with her so yeah. Calm down peeps.

This may be my first game, but I’ve read a lot of comments on sdn and I think I have a bit of a “feel” with what some of your personalities / writing styles are.

With that being said, DVMD is usually not succinct. When she says something she always shares her thoughts and feelings behind it. So to me, her explanation of being confused by our hydra seemed in character for her and not out of the ordinary. I don’t yet have a feel of SAR, but I do agree that it seemed fishy and she pounced on DVMD being easy pray.

Alright. I have to go to bed and won't be up before lynch close. Yes I'm a wee bit more salty and annoyed when on nights so take that how you will. Personally I'd rather not get lynched, but people seem hung up on my DVMD statement and I think village is wasting time there. If you all insist on lynching me at least do it on a day when I can answer questions, etc. but that won't be until Sunday becasue work- IRL excuses-so meh. My thoughts currently before I get up for work in less than 8 hours.

Paws was a fun vote, but apparrently I'm not allowed to have any fun according to PBC since she was not a fan of my joking with AM. Cray was quick to jump to DVMD's defense-this concerns me most because we always tell players not to defend for other players and she did exactly that. However, it seems acceptable because she is using "meta." Not an excuse. I'm calling B.S. on it, maybe I'm wrong, but DVMD is an experienced player and doesn't need others comming to her rescue. DVMD's response seemed fine to me so currently neutral there. PBC also jumped my case over a small note using Cray's lead-I don't like it. I could see them being wolves to gain credit for defending DVMD if/when she goes down. Therefore, PBC is also leaning wolfy to me currently, as in addition to the above, it's an easy call out to say " too many fluffy posts!" when I made one "strategy" post if you will.
For today and it's not gonna change before lynch close.

How much have you seen of DVMD's play?
 
Thoughts so far:

Two sentences is totes village. But four? Four is suspicious. Noted for future.

Peebs calling out fluff on D1? A D1 that started late at night? Really?

It seems AM came prepared with extra doses of question marks.

I feel some energy crackalackin in here and I like it. My vote should surprise no one.

All the "I've never played with them before" seems null to me as the people involved really haven't played together I don't think. Cray and dvmd had been on a ww break when Sar came back, brindi and redL are pretty new. I know it's d1 but just doesn't seem like anything yet

^I agree with basically all of this, except maybe the bit about SAR because I haven't seen enough there yet and people tend to think she is sketch early game.

Also, Mixalot said that DVMD was over-explaining right after someone asked DVMD to ...explain something, so that felt kinda forced as a callout imo.

Was getting to that, hold your smash moves 😛

I just didn't like the "always wolf" vote. Seemed a little lazy, and the timing was in line with what I'd expect from a wolf trying to get a vote in early.

I'm also not sold on it, just caught my eye.

Furthermore, I'm not seeing a reason for a PBC vote at this time, and I have historically been pretty decent at reading her (watch that bite me. Still salty about Supernatural, btw peebs)

Yeah I have feelings about that as an excuse as well, but what you said is nicer than what I was going to say.

This is a little odd, because Cray wasn't defending DVMD. She even said she had some feels about it (see bold). The snark about meta is interesting - usually that's when a question is posed to a player and someone jumps in to answer first. DVMD made a vote and told us her reasons, people jumped on her 'over explanation' and Cray responded with her reads on the situation. DVMD is experienced, but we still need people to share reads on her play . . . I'm not seeing what you're seeing here.

He was my joke character in Melee solely for that reason. I'd just run away from everyone and random throw bacon everywhere. It's *almost* as annoying as the people who would just run away with Pikachu and continually shoot the little sparks in the original.

They weren't really a thing until recently. And I do actually agree with her assessment. It's a good way to boost player numbers if neither person would play individually, but it does make them more difficult to evaluate, even if only one person is posting in the thread. Having someone else in your ear changes how you play.

I didn't realize they were newer, as most of the games I've seen have had a hydra playing. Would have liked to hear the response from DVMD him/her/axolotlself though.
