Sullivan University Anyone?

do u have to submit passporte photo to the school?

Yes and no. You need passport SIZED photos for both Sullivan and your Intern license. You don't need to go to walgreens and pay $8 though, just google free passport photos and use one of those sites. You just take a photo yourself and crop it on their site. The site then gives you a 4x6 photo that contains 6 copies of your 2x2 passport photo. Then save it to your flash drive and print it out yourself or at wal mart for 0.25

Hi, does anyone receive the invitation for an interview and what days? sep, oct? is it face to face or on phone. I just wonder if you got the invitation, but the day does not fit to your schedule, is it bad and reduce your chance for delaying the interview day?

also, when u tried to call the school and there is a voice message, should u leave a message or call back to speak with them in person?

Hello Everyone,
I have submitted everything to Sullivan, did so around July 17th. I have heard from Paige telling me they've recieved my application and that they will be reviewing it. I took the PCAT last week on Aug. 22nd. To this date I still have not heard anything. Is anyone else in the same situation as me, and do you think they are going to wait to recieve PCAT scores before they consider sending invites to interviews eventhough it is optional? Has anyone alrealdy recieved an invite to an interview?

I think the poster above (ty3579) got an invitation to an interview, so I think the interview process has started. Are your stats high and do you have any pharmacy experience?

I took the PCAT for the first time just last week so that stat I am unsure of, my GPA is average, with a 3.3 cummulative, and 3.45 M/S. I have worked as a pharmacy technician (Kroger) for the past 4 years, been certified for a year. Being a pharmacy technician was my first and only job as I am 21 now.

I think your stats are good. If you had 2-3 GOOD LOR from a professor and a pharmacist, I'm sure you will get an interview. Check your email regularly as I think they invite through email.

thanks,
AAAH! I hope so I have been so anxious have you applied to Sullivan?

i have heard that PCAT is optional. SO DOes it really mean that we dont need PCAT to get an interview?

When I spoke with Dr. Facione he said, the PCAT is optional, you can take it if you would like and it is encouraged, especially if you are applying to other schools. He also said if you do well on it, it can help you however if you don't score well on it, it won't hurt you. I'm nervous about the score I got on it, I took it for the first time last week, and I don't really feel like I did too well but idrk.

hey guys..any tips for the interview process? What is it like? Please help

legitpharmacist: Did u recieve an interview invitation?? I submitted my app like 4 weeks and havent heard anything yet

Talkpharm: I haven't heard anything yet either!! It's driving me bonkers too lol. It's been about 6 weeks since I sent everything in.

Yeah I emailed her my immunization record, because she sent me an email saying she was missing those and my transcripts, but they should have all of that stuff at this point. I'm tempted to call them and make sure that my application is complete.

So far, I think 2 people in this thread have been invited to an interview, ty3579 and LegitPharmacist (from reading their post). PharmerKim, your stats are high so you should give them a call to make sure it's complete.

Yeah I probably will, because I don't wanna be just left hanging to find out I get rejected because my application was incomplete lol.

Seems like you're in the area. How is the area and the school? What other schools are you applying to?

I've lived in Louisville my entire life, and I love it, it truly is a great city. Around Sullivan in particular is a pretty nice area right on Bardstown rd. which is a very popular area for bars, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. I've visited the school twice the first to just meet with Dr. Facione (the assistant dean of student affairs) he was very friendly, and had encouraged me to apply as soon as possible, which I did. The second was a tour of the pharmacy school itself, which is very nice, and the faculty I met, including the dean, were all very friendly. For this year I am only applying to Sullivan, because I am finished with the prerequisites, but if I don't get in next year I will reapply there and also apply to the University of Cincinnati as. I'd rather stay in Louisville though so Sullivan is my top choice.

Southern California. I've never been to Kentucky. Good to hear that it is a nice place.

Yeah, I like it. What made you choose to consider Sullivan, what other schools are you applying to?

It is a 3 year program and it doesn't use PharmCAS. haha as of right now, this is the only school because it's rolling admission.

That's cool, yeah I love the idea of a three year program. Are you going to take the PCAT?

Just took it august 22. It was brutal. I hope what you said about low PCAT scores won't hurt you is true.

I took it then too! I thought it was really difficult. Dr Facione did say it can only help you, but I think that if their like on the fence about whether or not to admit you, and you get a bad score they might use that as their final descion maker.

Hey, everyone! I got an email saying I was invited for an interview via email yesterday morning! I'm so excited. now I gotta sent them a good date for the interview. They gave me 3 available Fridays I can choose ( the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of September). Good lulck on those who received an interview invitation as well as those who are still waiting! :meanie:

Looks like I might be seeing some of you all there. I too have an interview for the 2nd (9/11), 3rd (9/18), or 4th (9/25) Friday in September. Can't wait for it baby!!!!

Set my interview up today, damn me for taking off work on Friday so I didn't get my chance to schedule an interview till this morning. Spots filled up quickly as I am interviewing on October 2nd at 11:30 am.

you're not alone. I also took my day off on Friday when the email was sent around noon and didn't even get a chance to open the email till Friday late night. =( I just called for an appointment around 10am this moring. Paige scheduled me on October 30th at 3:30pm. She said spots are all filled up already. I wish I called earlier like friday afternoon. I would rather be done with the interview and wait instead of waiting and interviewing. ah...waiting time is killing me! 😡 There must be alot of applicants applied early this year.

those who received invitation, what are your guys stats? any pharmacy experience?

AAAH my transcripts were under my maiden name, so thats all cleared up, so the waiting continues, and on top of that it looks like interviews are filling up so quickly!!!

I scheduled my interview today at for oct 2nd!! im really excited! yeah spots are filling up really quick

hey, usually when u update transcripts, do u have to send in transcripts from all colleges that u have attended or only the one in which u took new classes for an update. do u have to submit all transcripts for an update since the last time u submit ur transcripts and application?

I would say u just send the updated ones because they already have ur old ones

30 years old, married with one son. Graduated from Bellarmine in 2001 with a degree in Chemistry. Finished up pre-reqs at Sullivan/Spencerian, cumulative GPA is about a 3.5. SUCOP is the only school I am applying to, therefore, I did not take the PCAT. I have never been a Pharmtech before, but I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a chemist and in a sales function since I graduated in 2001.

Yours?

Mine is at 3. The spots filled up way too fast! i was really surprised. You got good stats and pharm experience Good luck! I am actually from california and just finished up my undergrad. My GPA is about a 3.3 and I worked in a pharmacy for 3 yrs.

i am from california too..but my interview won't be till first friday of november.
i wonder how many people they will interview per friday..

Okay what is up with California and Sullivan? There are at least 4 or 5 people from there in our class this year. It's probably the most represented state that isn't KY or an adjacent state.
