Yup, same here... i asked them as well if my file had been reviewed. It went in with the group but the info hasn't been put into the comp yet. I am thinking WL or rejection too.

Did they try calling you on Wednesday night and miss you or did they simply call on Friday?

The reason I am asking is because on the thread it seems that people have been getting phone calls on Wednesday night. I know my decision is made and I'm curious if there's a slight chance that I may have been admitted and that they haven't called yet (though I doubt it because they wouldn't tell me anything over the phone)

I don't think they tried calling me before Friday and I know one other person on SDN who got the call the same day as mine. So they might tell you tomorrow if you have been accepted. I wish you lots of luck!! :luck: :luck: :luck:

Where is the decision row on the status page? Or does it appear once a decision is made, because right now there is no row called decision?

Hehe. Thanks -- but now I'm gonna be in suspense until later tomorrow. And it i don't get the call it'll be misery all over again.

Btw, are you going to Upstate?
 
No status row for me either.

Ok, so I guess Friday is the new Wednesday. And 11:30 is the new 8. If I don't receive a call tomorrow morning, my faith in God will be shattered.

I have a phone appointment with the admissions director, so she can tell me why I got rejected.

I don't know why I do this to myself when I'm already sitting on an acceptance. It's cruel, unusual punishment. I guess I'm trying to beat myself up for having such a crap application...

Did you get a rejection or a high-priority waitlist? If you could, ask Mrs. Welch about the deal with the online status page. When do they update that? How long does it take for our files to go through commitee and for them to get back to us? Thanks Jessy/Zeke. Good luck.

Congrats!! I'm soo happy for you! See I told you that you'd get the call today 🙂 Btw, did Mrs. Welch tell you when you'll receive the acceptance letter in the mail? because when she told me last Friday I was soo excited I didn't understand what she was saying :laugh:

I asked earlier but no one responded, you guys think its a good idea to send a letter of interest post-interview but before the final decision. I really loved upstate and want to make sure they know that.

No phone call! I checked yesterday, but there was nothing, so it must have happened in the last 24 hours. Everyone...please check your status pages for any new info. For those of you who were accepted, did you status page update yet? This is seriously wishful thinking given the evidence at hand...but I wonder if I should expect a call next week.

PS Dr Curious...if you have any new information to add to your record, like a new job, volunteer info, research experience/publications et, it would be a very good idea to update them. But, as I understand it, a letter of interest is best sent *after* you've been waitlisted. If you havent heard back about your decision yet, sending a preemptive letter of interest may come across as groveling. Just my opinion...but you should definetely consult other people than just those on this thread. I think there is someone by the username upstateadmissions or something like that, who represents the admissions office. Perhaps ask there. Good luck.

Hey I just checked my status page and it says "Decision made" too. I remember the last time I checked which was a week ago I think there was nothing on there. Good luck to all those who are waiting!! :luck: :luck: :luck:
 
So does that mean you guys were reviewed and will get a call next week for acceptance, or were eiter waitlisted/rejected?

just on a side note, wanted to hear your guys opinion. From what ive seen, the people with shorter interviews have seemed to have gotten waitlisted or rejected, whereas people with longer interview get at least a waitlist. I wonder if its a coincedence, a pre-decision by the committee, or if the interviewers just liked the applicant...? Any guesses.

Upstate was my third interview. Each of the previous two lasted 50-60 minutes while my faculty interview at Upstate lasted a miserable 25 minutes. I was extremely dissapointed because of our lack of connection (I interviewed with a surgeon working at the VA). Then my student interview went pretty bad... I got real nervous for absolutely no reason and asked him to let me restart my answer and take a sip of my bottled water.

That being said, I got accepted. I thought it was an awful interview experience, but got in... That's all that matters...
 
So has anyone recently received waitlist/rejection letters form upstate? My status page update over the weekend, but still no news. Its been close to 6 weeks now.

I did -- it was awesome. We spoke for about 1.5 hours about football (and upstate). He even took out his high school yearbook to show me some old pictures of All-Americans from his class.

Why do you ask?
