I will be attending TCOM next year. I interviewed both allo and osteo in Texas. It is actually one of the better Texas schools. They rank 28th in the nation for primary care, of which only TCOM, Baylor, and Southwestern are ranked in the top 50. It is also one of the top DO schools. By looking at the residency placements you will see that TCOM fairs pretty well and have students going to top residencies all over the country. TCOM is also very technologically savvy. This year we get our own tablet PCs 😀 (good, cause i wouldnt know what to buy). They offer things like a 3D dissector which will be helpful (believe me, I've done gross lab before with only a book-hard to learn, study, and dissect). They also have computers and plasma tvs in their labs to help with demonstrations. After learning all of this, I found it easy to rank TCOM above other Texas schools. Hope this helps!
