Yes, you can. If you happen to be accepted from a WL, just message TMDSAS in your portal and ask them to withdraw your 2025 application

I have been wondering this too, but can’t find the PTE deadline posted anywhere online. I think any applicants with offers from TCOM likely received information about this deadline directly.

TMDSAS says "After 5:00 p.m. CST on May 15, any offer of acceptance made to an applicant must be responded to within 5 business days. If an offer is made within 30 days of an institution’s date of orientation, the decision must be communicated within 48 hours. Member institutions will ensure communication of these deadlines to applicants."

Most people who get a TCOM acceptance hang on to it.
The small number of WL offers is not ghosting you, but more likely their class is full & people aren't leaving

Your best source is to read your offer email carefully to see when they want your response and act by then, or if they didn’t specify call them.

I have noted 3 people have withdrawn from TCOM since match day, just by reading all the Texas threads. Either TCOM’s class is full right now, or they will wait a bit more & fill any open spots soon.

well i called admissions yesterday and asked about the waitlist situation

i was told that sometimes people are accepted off the waitlist the day before orientation (this year i believe it is july 8th) - it's really up in the air

So I had applied here, interviewed back in Sept and then complete silence. I kept waiting and waiting and finally figured they rejected me without having the decency to send me an email. Not even an email saying I was on a waitlist or anything. Well early this morning, I got an acceptance here! Wow, super shocked. I am out of state so I will be rejecting their offer since I have already accepted elsewhere. Good luck to those who are still waiting to hear back!
