It changed to 1/27, but the TTU change was late yesterday. When everyone else was saying their's was blank, mine still said Interviewed.

No update to LMFU, still no validation.

It changed to 1/27, but the TTU change was late yesterday. When everyone else was saying their's was blank, mine still said Interviewed.

No update to LMFU, still no validation.

I wonder why our tech status changed while other people's didn't.

I thought that schools weren't allowed to send out letters before Feb. 1 to people who did interview.

No letter - and I live inside the loop. I checked today. Man I hate checking the mail lately...a solem walk to the box, then carefully peeking inside and sorting throught the mail like your expecting a personal note from the unabomber...

I live in Houston (outside the 610 loop) and I DID NOT get a rejection letter from A&M, or any letter for that matter. I did, however get a rejection letter from UTMB (I never interviewed there).

Hmm, so a bunch of people are getting rejection letters post-dated Feb. 1st, even before the Match is announced, UTSW and Tech's websites are giving conflicting/ confusing info, etc...

While I think these are all fine schools, anyone get the impression from such examples (among other things), that med school admissions are kind of half-assed ordeals for adcoms?

This idea might become more salient on February 1st. Or not. The choice is yours. 😛

Howdy Howdy all!! I'm spending the weekend with my mom in San Antonio. Tonight's the night for fondue! Yummmmm!!!

oh snap!!!! my lmfu is 11005.......wtf......MORTAL COMBAT....hehehehehe, i kid i kid. though i'm sure it wouldn't matter if i said this but whatever....i won't be back here until maybe like a couple of nights after i find out (okay thats just the plan but i gotta get away from you people!!!!! hehehe). so i just wanted to thank everybody here for being incredibly informative, funny, and cool before the magical day comes and i forget to because of extreme joy or extreme sadness. plus the first couple of days after feb 1 will redefine how crazy you people are in terms of number of posts i have a feeling and i'm going to hibernate through that. also, i got a lot of work to get done this next week. whatever happens, i think just reading y'alls posts and commenting has given me a clearer perspective of what it means to be a premed. i mean i would definitely consider posting here as part of my premed experience. i still can't believe this much has been posted since the beginning. it would be a distinct honor for me to be accepted into and attend medical school with some of y'all but probably not all of y'all (ah come on that was fuunnnie) . i would wish all of you good luck but i gotta be worried about numero uno top dawg first. well....good luck with this and whatever lies beyond. if this was overly melodramatic for you...well....if you have the distinct misfortune of having me in your med school class, know now that the last thing i will hold back is melodrama.

Anyone have any big plans for Monday's late night wait for matches?

Received my TCOM rejection last week (didn't interview there). I suspect that UTMB will be arriving on Monday. One of the good things about living overseas is hearing that others have received rejections a few days before I receive them - it helps lessen the impact.

I think that is highly likely. However, I would think that even those who were on the TMDSAS list but did not match w/ TAMU and matched higher would still recieve a letter from TAMU. I know that sounds backwards since , yes, people who were on the list had a possible acceptance to TAMU, but just matched higher in preference. I just think they would try to send out all rejection-type letters the same day. Just a hypothesis. I'm not a good philosopher/sleuth like my fellow SDNers 😛

I still think that no letter at this point is some kind of good news 😕 Each day w/ out a rejection is a good day!

BTW: I live in Houston on the northwest side and did NOT receive a letter. I ranked TAMU numero dos. Ok--go get 'em SDN! We figured out UTSW, let's get another one!

I got rejected by Aggy yesterday (1-29-05), and it was postmarked 1-27-05.

I did not interview there, but I completed all their requirements and was hoping to get an interview 🙁

Something just dawned on me

My TTU status check shows both 2004 and 2005 application status. The 2004 app has always been blank and obviously I did not get in last year (no interview). The blank may reflect no admission. The 2005 blank could be due to not making the cut or matching at a higher ranked school 😕

I remember that someone who ranked TTU #1 had theirs change from Interviewed to Pending 😕

Last year, a TCOM applicant received a snail mail letter on 1/31, prior to match results opening up online. I don't know about other schools. It would also depend on the mail time from your school of interest to your residence.
