Organic 1 and Lab-4 hours
Physics 1 and Lab-5 hours
Anatomy/Physiology 1 with lab-4 hours
Calculus 2-4hours
Chemistry seminar-1 hours

Is this crazy? I'm trying to flex my academic muscle but I don't want to burnout or tank my G.P.A. I'm pretty good at math but I'm still nervous about physics and calculus 2.

I feel like we are in the same boat (but with different classes)! I think it will come down to maintaining your priorities and keeping track of due dates and other scheduling stuff. Good luck to you! :luck: Also LOVE your avi.

Debating adding TA 10ish hours a week... Thoughts? It's nice that my class schedule is so light, but I don't want to be TOO busy with ECs.

I would stick with what you have, adding another 10 hours of TA put you at about 40 hours of ECs alone.

Tough, but not impossible. I did something similar (except worse), but mine was because I was going back to school, only needed science classes for my additional degree and wanted to get it done in a set time frame. Do you not have any non-science courses that you could add to the mix in order to lighten the load? So, basically, if you need to than it is doable, but if not than don't.

I think you will be fine, since you already have a good science background. It will be tough, but time management will be key. If you want to do some extra curriculars, then I think you should reduce your credit load by ~2 credits.

True. I am just trying to give cautious advice. I know not everyone can handle business the way you or I can. OP may very well be able to handle this and more but if that is the case then OP would know this. That's all B. 😉
 
Does anyone know which biology class is easier? I'll have to take both, but want to take the easier one when I am taking organic chemistry 1, physics 2 and micro economics at the same time.

Biology (Foundations of Bio - Evolution, Biodiversity, and Organismal) + Lab - 4 units
or
Biology (Foundations of Bio: Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genetics, and Molecular Biology) + Lab

Generally evolution/ecology is easier at the intro level

You're planning ahead.

That doesn't look too difficult, although genetic analysis may add unnecessary burden to your workload.

Tai Chi - 1 credit

12 credits. After suffering through depression and two 18 credit semesters sophomore year, I am going to take it easy my junior year to focus on classes (like biochem and analytical) that are actually interesting.

Thank you, friend! I have been feeling so much better these last couple of months and am looking forward to finally taking courses that pertain to my major (Biochemistry). 😀

I am going to be graduating next spring 😀 so excited! Fall!

3.3 is a little low for medial school. I think you have to be honest with yourself and figure out what went wrong. Personally, I would drop physiology and focus on getting straight A's in all my classes, especially my science classes.

Generally bio2 is intro molecular/cell, so there certainly is some overlap.

Biochem 1(generally for bio/biochem/chem majors) is very structurally oriented, reaction oriented. Orgo will lay all the foundation you need for the reaction/structural biochem. Chances are you signed up for a class like this

Survey of biochem (generally for nutrition, exercise science, etc...) is much more theory and builds off of biology more than orgo.
 
Alright, cool. I'm almost positive it's the former. If anyone knows/cares, it's Chem 351 with Nolta at Umich.

Get rid of Hindi, Teaching Profession and Acting. All of those are a complete waste of time and won't even help you in the long run. Your BME and MSE courses suggest you're an engineering major. You'll be down to 14 credits. You can take an easy gen ed course if you want, but your engineering courses are difficult.

So I'm guessing you probably applied/are applying to medical school this cycle? If so, can you update your science GPA with the grades you receive from these classes at the end of the semester?

- Yeah, took 24 last semester as well. However, last semester was all CHEM/ BME/ MSE/ BIO. Hindi was my only humanities. Had more EC's, but ended with a 3.5.

- Yeah, I am a BME. Minoring in chemistry and south asian studies, so cant get rid of Hindi or Chem elective. I was taking acting + teaching to balance out the hard classes. They don't require much work and are possible gpa boosters. My advisor ripped me apart when I told him I wanted to take easy-A to balance out gpa with e-school. He said med schools will straight up recognize that and penalize you. In your opinion though, does that look bad?

I think the consensus on SDN is that premed advisors are completely wrong about a lot of info.
