I had my interview at Nova last week and as we were walking between the buildings some of the current students kept screaming "run away", "don't come here", "god helps you guys" I was surprised and felt like they were joking but after my interview I decided to walk around and speak with some of the students these are some of the things they told me which scared the hell out of me:
no respect, or communication between students, faculty, administration, no moral and very toxic and hostile environment created by dean and academic dean, apparently their academic dean mentally tortures them and students self medicate themselves because of all the problems they are dealing with, apparently they don't have student leadership positions anymore like all the students run organizations and clubs are destroyed by deans order, they don't have enough faculty at their sim lab or their clinic, their curriculum is horrible and non-functional, so many students are held back because they don't have enough patients, apparently they don't even have a clinic supervisor or faculty at clinic either, one student told me their facebook accounts, phones, personal emails get monitored like 24/7 which this one sounded crazy, I was told their school is losing its accreditation soon because of all the lawsuits and they all are looking into transferring to different schools. Honestly they seemed pretty stressed and worried and it kinda ruined my happy day too. There was more but I forgot the rest sorry. The interview itself went pretty smooth and chill, there was no pressure at all and we spoke about traveling and food basically. I don't want to discourage you from this school but I would definitely think twice, anyways Nova wasn't my first choice and I have a few more interviews, just wanted to share my experience. Good luck everyone!
