Don't know if rejectections are automated, but for your second question it could also mean you could get waitlisted if you don't get called

No. I saw that someone was rejected earlier and i‘m assuming that was an automated email. I doubt they are going one by one with rejections.

They interviewed over 600 people, they’re not putting all on waitlist and acceptance only.

From what i‘ve seen on previous threads, rejection emails are sent today (which I think already happened?) They also call and accept people today and tomorrow depending on how many they get through today. And then a couple days after that they send out the waitlist via email. So if you don’t hear a word today or tomorrow I think it’s safe to assume you are waitlisted/alternate
