Yeah, that's why I called to check..I felt bad that I was annoying them, but it's so hard not to have a timeframe of when you'll know, one way or another.
 
I was put on the alternate list on Tuesday and just got the call from Dr. Healy that I'm in!!! So the list is already moving, keep up the faith guys!

I was also put on the alternate list on tuesday, so I am hoping to hear soon. can u please tell at what time frame did Dr.Healy call u i.e morning, afternoon
 
Same here, a call would be nice (sooner than later). Just keep up the faith!
 
So has anyone received a D5 offer? congrats to everyone who got waitlisted
 
I'm freaking out Jerry! This waiting has me feeling like George Castanza. Anyone hear anything about D5?
 
What its worth my friend called into the office today and they said wait list and D5 havent begun to rolled out completely. Lots to go she said.
 
But the acceptances have all been given out? If we get a call could it be for an acceptance at this point, or just WL/D.5?
 
Don't take this as fact but I would assume that if they are making the alternate list and last time I talked to Miss tweedy she said with the offers given out, the class was full. Just my take, but the offers left will be alt. list or d5 for in-state students.

I'm wondering if at this point, people can get the call that they're in without ever having been on the waitlist?

Withdrew my OOS spot! I loveddd VCU sooo much, but I got off the wait list of my state school and couldn't turn down the amt of money I would be saving there. Congrats to whoever gets off the VCU waitlist!
 
Good questions- I called all of my schools yesterday, vcu being one of them. It appears not all decisions for wl or d.5 have been made yet bc Dr. Healy (and a lot of other dschool adcom members) are attending a huge conference which is delaying things. Ms. Tweedy said since I haven't heard back I am still in the running (basically if u haven't heard a "no" you're still being considered). No final decision has been made- which makes me think they are waiting for Apr 1 to see how many spots open up. Basically- it's still up in the air.

Congratulation for the acceptance as an in-state student and money is definitely a deciding factor. One quick question- when did you withdrew your spot? was it today (thursday)?
 
It was today! So someone should be hearing very soon 🙂
 
when a OOS student declines their offer does that spot go strictly to a OOS waitlister or can it go to a in state as well? I'm assuming OOS stays OOS
 
Just got a D5 offer so I will be in the D5 program if I don't make it off of Maryland's waitlist! Just really happy to know that I will be doing something next year

Got a D.5 offer this morning! I'm in state as well. Keep your head up everyone!!
 
what is this D.5 offer? whats the difference between this and regular acceptance?
i got rejected without interview btw. and just wondering
 
Did anyone ask about their rank in the D.5? Any spots still left over? I think they take 8 to 10 people a year. Seriously bummed right now.

D.5 is basically an offer of conditional acceptance. The students in D.5 take 4 courses (2 per semester) during their first year, and provided they receive a B or higher in the courses they start the D1 curriculum with the next incoming class the following fall.

and I did not ask about my ranking within the D.5 offers, but I do know that on April 1st more spots should become available within the class.
 
I just now withdrew my spot. My fiancé and I loved VCU/Richmond and would have loved to attend but my state school finally came through.

VCU is instate for me and I am currently waitlisted.
Does anyone know if oos spot only goes to oos?
 
So i'm reading my D.5 paperwork, and I'm a little confused. If I get B's or better in all 4 classes i'm guaranteed acceptance for 2018 right?

It says I need to reapply through AADSAS by August, submit an additional LOR, and possibly re-interview. It also says my application will be considered once my grades are in.
 
:soexcited: :boom: I am an OOS, got call from Dr.Healy yesterday and I AM OFF THE WAIT-LIST. The waitlist is already moving prior to April 1st, so Best of luck to everyone. :boom: 🤣

They d.5'ed you with that GPA? Your DAT scores could go up a point or two in the sciences but wow that is competitive if you had to go d.5. My GPA is def below that and my DAT was a bit higher in the sciences. I'm not feeling so good now.

bigrisky, have you heard from them one way or the other? i haven't... completely in the dark (no acceptance, wl, d.5, or rej). just wondering if i'm the only one. good luck to you 👍

I am in the same boat, waiting for something from VCU (I interviewed back in October)... I've already sent in my second deposit for Temple, but VCU is still 100K cheaper for the 4 years.

Kazemo, we are in the same boat. I have a deposit down at another school but VCU is instate for me and way cheaper.
