Eat something that gives you food poisoning. I've eaten Subway, Blimpies, hamburgers, and alot of Chinese food over the last week and a half.

I'm guessing one of those f**kers did this to me. Probably the chinese food

Wait if I ate something that gave me severe food poisoning, wouldn't other people who ate the same thing get it too? In which case it might be the Subway. Hrm thats probably how that guy lost so much weight. Pooed out his weight in liquid.

Just an FYI:

If you had food poisioning you'd probably be puking your guts out. Really watery poo is usually a virus...nothing to do but wait 🙁

I work in the ER and we see this EVERY DAY!!!

Someone at work also told me that. So my friends say its food poisoning, SDNers say food poisoning/stomach virus, work people say its something other than food poisoning, and a select few insist on salmonella, but these ppl are generally morbid to begin with so I don't think so.

I have been trying to stay hydrated. My mouth is constantly dry from my alternate gender experience where I am peeing everything out a hole instead of the little general. I have a severe headache, but extra strength tylenol seems to be keeping it manageable. I will try to see the doc on Monday, to have them probably tell me something along the lines of everything people have said and pat me on the back and tell me to go home, drink liquids, and sleep.

Any news on UTSW waitlist - where people are ranked?
 
One day of not drinking won't kill you. Don't drink for the rest of the night, you don't drink while sleeping anyway. The more you drink the more you'll crap. Hopefully by the morning your bug is gone.

not only that but the excretion from a woman's point of view is very sensitizing and educational
 
uhhh eternal, you should be replenishing fluids. as she said, you probably have a stomach virus or something (gastroenteritis???). you should replenish your fluids though. it's better to be pooing all the time than to risk being dehydrated esp with that fever.
 
oy... and I came here to escape renal and GI physiology.

DAMNIT. It's like 10 minutes! I drink something, then 10 minutes later, it's time to pee out my butt!

Tho it is interesting to note that orange juice comes out darker than normal water. In a second I'm gonna go downstairs and buy gatorade and see what that comes out as.

Viral Gastroenteritis.

They gave me Diphenoxylate HCl/Atropine and also an IV for fluids.

The doc was so nice bless her heart.

yup, test tomorrow over all that stuff. preload, afterload, pressure-volume relationships, ESPVR, fast v slow cardiac cells, etc. no ECG though, which is disappointing. i guess i'll read up on that by myself or in med school.

omg i got it right! do i get a prize? i hope it's not a bowl of your waterypoo because that's just gross. also holy crap, i don't know if y'all have had this feeling but i understand why they gave you atropine. it is so cool to be able to put all the pieces of the puzzle together.

ok enough nerdiness. funny how i've apparently been labeled the gunner in my class. this is why i need to get in already. TAMU, i am worthy!

Yeah, this thread has gotten slower, I guess EternalRage is still feeling sick. I myself am cold and in the process of making chicken soup hoping it will warm me up. 😛 This not only provides nourishment but also a distraction from what I really should be doing, studying for my exams.

Actually, we have our Histology lab midterm right after the immunology one...which is right after class. 🙁 That makes me sad.
