Quick mini-pole here. How many of you have felt jealous of a fellow applicant during this application season?

I know I got the feeling a lot when I first started my interviews every time I'd hear someone talking about their 35+ MCAT or their experience with healing dying children in Africa with nothing but a stick, stethescope, and some native leaves.

I get the greens for those applicants getting into Harvard, only because I have this unrealistic dream that I will go to Harvard one day.

Oh totally. I was freaking out when Baylor interviews were going out and I hadn't gotten one yet.
 
i'm jealous just because i know i'm a badass applicant (probably better than a lot of those that have gotten in) that screwed himself over in the past but has recovered and more.

I heard from my roomie but she just heard it from MS1 chatter going around during exam time. I really really hope you're high up on the list and will get in too! :luck: :luck:

That's insulting. I believe it's more of a Jack Bauer suspense thriller maybe even complete with a shoot em up. 😉 None of this Oprah let's hold each other and eat sandwiches buisness.
 
Does anybody know how much writing, if any, is required during MS1 and MS2 in most medical schools, particularly those that don't have thesis requirements, which most of them don’t?

They are not. They used to be back in the day and a lot of people still assume they are.

O you're not that much older than some of us... I for no apparent reason thought you were in your late 30s (not sure where I got that from :/ )
 
you should see asian men who are over 30. they pretty much can't do anything themselves anymore.

Yea Chinese people can be very good looking. I mean in a country with 6 billion people, by sheer statistics, there are bound to be good looking ones.

I met a Chinese guy here at JHU that was so good looking that even Caucasian sorority girls thought he was hot, and he wasn't "whitewashed" at all. I was so impressed by that :/

I wonder when UTSW will start letting more people off the waitlist? Hopefully Baylor is now making a move.

I'm in the top 20% or whatever it was, so that means I should eventually be able to get in, right?

It would be nice to knoe before May so I could look for housing and stuff. This just keeps dragging on.
