My RCW and validation date just changed (now 1/7/08). No clue what that means. Nothing has changed with me since I submitted my application.

I found that strange as well Army. I'm thinking too much here but it may be possible I got an acceptance (hope) or placed on some sort of list and they revalidated my coursework.

Or it could be nothing. I hope it's the former...for everyone. By the way. Real I hadn't got the chance to congratulate you on your Baylor acceptance. Way to go...represent the Orangebloods well.

One of my interviews at UTH basically made me repeat my entire interview even though he had read it already. Imagine listing out every single EC you've done.

Anyway, i don't mean to scare anyone. Some interviews are more enthusiastic than others. I think I got a dud.

No, I don't think so. The guy was a PhD and a big critic of MDs in general stating they "don't know how to think". 🙄

He made a couple of other personal comments I was not fond of either. I was thinking about reporting him, but since they weren't directly about me, I don't think I had much ground.

I'm 27 but feel like I'm 21... I've been in grad school since undergrad and still live like a poor student. I never partied because I worked all the way through undergrad, and that hasn't changed either. Um, I'm one of the youngest people in my lab, and get treated like a kid by the older techs and post-docs. I get carded the few times a year I do go out and have a drink!

However, I do own a house, am a mom to three dogs and two cats, am married to a wonderful partner, and feel like I'm 80 when my rheumatoid arthritis kicks in!!

I guess it all balances out in the end...

When I was 18, I once tried to get into this lounge-type place that I thought was 18 and up. It ended up being 21 and up, but it was funny watching the bouncer try to figure out my age, even though it clearly said "UNDER 21" in big bold letters on my ID. It took him a good 3-4 seconds before he finally got it. 🙄

Haha, funny you mention that. I looked at some of the interview feedback questions last night and it reminded me again that I need to brush up on my medical ethics. Other than that .... nada.

I remember once going with a much older lady friend of mine (40 yrs or so) to the grocery store, she wanted to get some cigs. When the boy behind the counter asked for her ID, she burst out laughing and thaking the kid for making her feel young again. It was hilarious and more importantly it made here day .... or maybe week.

I'll bet your husband had stubble, which is why he passed for >21. I have lots of friends who can avoid getting carded (I'm only 20) by not shaving for a couple days. Maybe you should try that 😉?

On the entrance ramp for 59 South at Kirby. Totally freaked me out since I was driving. The police wanted me to go to a substation and wait to be processed. I was not going to do that with an interview the next day!

He had to pay thousands of dollars to have all his paperwork transcribed and validated. Daylight robbery, I tell you!

I'm going to throw my hat into the ring, as well. My LMF, RCW and validation date all changed, 1/2/08, 1/4/08 and 1/4/08, respectively for the first time. I had interviews at SA and Tech. (in October and December, respectively) To be honest I'd be more pumped about this if I'd heard of some folks in the same position without updates. It sounds like a lot of people are getting them, so maybe we're all getting put into lists, and we'll just have to wait until the first to learn if it's the yea list or the naye list.

luckily, he didn't have to get anything transcribed because he's applying to a french program and his documents are french. they were ok with him just submitting as is.

They have your personal statement and the summary sheet from TMDSAS. At least that is all both of my interviewers had.

I'll go ahead and throw a kink out there...I checked my app from last year a few weeks ago and saw that I never received a validation date (I had two interviews). I've decided that I'm not gonna worry about it anymore...except that I just checked this year's app and saw that I got my first LMU update since my app was processed (but still no validation date)...I think SDN needs a smiley that conveys head-spinning.

I think the reason a lot of these LMU and validation date changes happen without a cause is due to TMDSAS's lack of organization. Maybe you had an interview 4 weeks ago and now they're updating it. Just another ...... speculation. 😀
