Dude nice about your acceptance man, I’m happy to know Houston is still actively working the pool. Im still holding out for Houston so knowing rejections are hitting others, selfishly, is a good sign for me. Congrats again on your acceptance hopefully I’ll get mine soon!

Dang man. Well maybe they sent out more acceptances and people just aren't posting on here. When did you interview and what are your stats?
I interviewed January 2nd! I Applied extremely late... like in September, which is nobody's fault but mine hahah.
3.6 GPA
18 DAT
immigrant, underserved community, South TX resident, I got that in my favor.
NO rejection as of now.

What were yall's impressions of Dallas during the interview? I've been accepted at SA but still no news from A&M, just curious to see what other people thought about the school.
I'll be attending the Dallas Post Bacc program, but I don't really love the campus. The city life is such a factor for me since I haven't seen much of the curriculum.
The people seem nice and helpful! It's just not my top....

Congratulations on the acceptance, that will be a fruitful program no doubt. And I agree on the whole campus thing. Not to discredit anything from the school but the interview came across rather bland. It just seemed like they didn't put nearly as much effort into selling the school compared to the other two Texas schools.

I’m pretty sure I’m getting a rejection from San Antonio, at this point I just want to get it already! Lol rip off the bandaid SA!

I called SA today, said the admissions staff was having "deep" interviews together but she wouldn't tell me when the next round would be out. I know this doesn't really help anyone but at least there is still some hope for those last few spots!

As in, meetings with each other to determine the last spots? Stressful!

Houston interviewer told me he knew my spot on he waiting list
That was so stressful

For your TMDAS application, did others list your shadowing experience separately by provider? Or should I just count all of them together? I will have shadowed 3-4 different doctors from different providers.

Definitely extend your shadow list out and put exactly who you shadowed and if they were general or a specialist etc.

If someone has accepted at more than one TMDSAS school (and therefore holding more than one spot) is there a specific date that they must choose a specific school and drop the other?

Question for the Texas Accepted Applicants this year: I have a total of 4 letters that I am planning on submitting
1) Hard Science - Very strong
2) Practicing Dentist - Very Strong
3) Employer - Very Strong
4) Hard Science - it is strong, but not sure how strong (eg. how personal, etc)

I have a 5th letter from a volunteer opportunity that is very strong. Based on this, do you recommend I submit the Hard Science letter over the volunteer letter?

Don't you need one from a non-science ?

I would suggest the volunteer letter since you already have a science letter and service seems to be very important to some schools.

making sure I have this right- Since it is past May 1, if you have already been accepted to a TX dental school, other TX schools that you may not have heard from will now look past you as a courtesy right? I'm pretty sure I was told this at my SA interview but my friend doesn't remember hearing this. Anyone else hear this as well?

I don't remember hearing that, but it would make sense as to why there has been no word from SA. It could possibly be to the fact that they're still trying to figure out who to give the last remaining acceptances to without sending any to those who have already accepted a seat at another school.

I remember hearing that but I thought she said May 5th. But I guess it doesnt really matter because it is May 8th. I am just waiting to get rejections from SA and TAMU

Yes, from what I remember Dr. Segura saying, they legally can’t offer you a position in their class after May 1st if you have accepted somewhere else in Texas.

I wonder if they have anymore acceptance emails going out or if that’s when theyre sending all their rejections.. 🙁
Seems like a few people have been added to our FB page this week. Not sure when they were accepted

Just heard from a friend that an acceptance was given out on Friday from SA.. don’t lose hope just yet!

SA's wrapped on acceptances, working on alt list should be out this week or next
